Vermillion Hereafter in Genshin Impact is an Artifact set released in version 2.6. Its effect description shows that this set has the potential to be great on the Vigilant Yaksha, Xiao. However, considering most Genshin Impact players should already have a decent set for Xiao, the release of Vermillion Hereafter has raised some questions.

- 4-piece: Using an Elemental Burst increases their ATK by 8% for 16s. When the character's HP decreases, their ATK will further increase by 10% (up to four times). This effect can be triggered every 0.8s and will be removed once the character leaves the field.
The effect of 4-piece Vermillion Hereafter aligns with Xiao's Elemental Burst where he continuously loses HP in the duration of his Ultimate. As of Genshin Impact 2.6, Vermillion Hereafter is the best Artifact set for Xiao.
Vermillion Hereafter VS Viridescent + Gladiator
But how good is Vermillion Hereafter when compared to 2-pieces sets like 2-Viridescent Venerer + 2-ATK +18% or 2 x 2-ATK +18%?
Unfortunately, even though Vermillion Hereafter is the best Artifact set for Xiao in Genshin Impact, its performance isn't that far ahead of the other options. At maximum, Vermillion Hereafter is only 10% ahead of the other choices. Considering the amount of Resin investment that players need to get a decent set, it is better to use the old Artifacts, if available. However, if there are no other options, then Vermillion Hereafter is the way to go.
One thing to note is that with other Artifacts, Xiao can use either an Anemo or ATK Goblet. But for Vermillion Hereafter, it's best to stick with Anemo Goblet.
Which Characters Is Vermillion Hereafter Good For In Genshin Impact
Unfortunately, Vermillion Hereafter is only good for Xiao. Many people would consider Hu Tao as a valid candidate, but it's important to remember that this set will take effect once the character uses their Elemental Burst. Considering players will use Hu Tao's Skill before her Burst, the 4-piece effect of Vermillion Hereafter will not trigger properly.
The only other way to use this set is to get damaged on purpose. This can work, but it is far from recommended.
How To Get The Vermillion Hereafter Artifact
Players can get the Vermillion Hereafter Artifact in the Chasm. The Domain is located on the surface and will reward the Echoes of an Offering set along with it. However, before Travelers can access the Domain, they must first unlock it.
To unlock the Lost Valley Domain in Genshin Impact, players have to solve a small puzzle that involves Unique Rock Pillars and Geo Resonance. Finishing this task also grants a secret Achievement and a Luxurious Chest, so even if Travelers don't wish to farm the Domain, they should unlock it anyway.
