A Genshin Impact video shows the upcoming character Wanderer fighting against Inazuma's Electro Archon, Raiden Shogun. Wanderer, also known as Scaramouche, has been officially announced by the game's social media accounts, and he is expected to arrive on one of the upcoming banners in update 3.3.

Scaramouche has been one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact due to his multiple appearances in the game's official storyline which presented him as a mysterious, yet powerful character. Scaramouche also plays a significant role in the ongoing update 3.2 in which he received his own weekly boss domain.

A new post on the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit reveals an interesting video showing Wanderer fighting against Raiden Shogun. Despite dishing out tons of damage, Shogun's HP bar remains unchanged which some fans consider quite ironic due to the interesting storyline that connects the two characters. Wanderer was originally created to be the vessel for the Electro Gnosis, but after he started crying in his sleep, the Electro Archon Ei deemed him too weak for such an important role. After abandoning Wanderer, Ei created another vessel named Raiden Shogun who ultimately became the ruler of Inazuma.

A couple of comments have stated that Wanderer looks very determined to get his revenge after thousands of years. It should be noted that the video was taken from a private beta server and the numbers displayed on the screen are not reliable. However, recent rumors have revealed that Wanderer could be a very strong DPS character. A lot of credible leakers place him in the S-tier pool of characters when it comes to damage output.

Wanderer also seems to be a very good fit for the popular National team comp which includes three additional four-star characters that make this type of party very free-to-play friendly. As shown in the video, he has a very specific playstyle that seems very different from any other character in the game thanks to his elemental skill which allows him to hover in the air while attacking.

Wanderer won't be the only new character in Genshin Impact version 3.3 as HoYoverse also confirmed another four-star Anemo user named Faruzan for the same update. There is not a lot of information about this member of the Sumeru Akademiya who mysteriously disappeared from the region. She is expected to be a new support in Genshin Impact whose kit revolves around being in the same team comp as Wanderer.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
