The popular open-world action RPG Genshin Impact may represent some of the best elements of modern gaming. From its huge cast of colorful characters to its sprawling setting to its creative story, this game may well go down in history as one of the better titles in recent years. One fan of Genshin Impact recently showed their appreciation for the title by creating an impressive pixel art recreation of the Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set.

Players can find the Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set at 4-star and 5-star rarities at the Valley of Remembrance, a domain located in Mondstadt between Dawn Winery and Dragonspine. According to the surrounding lore, the items that make up the set originally belonged to Viridescent, also known as the Queen of Hunters. She also owned The Viridescent Hunt weapon, a 4-star bow that can be obtained from the Gnostic Hymn battle pass.

Redditor ekasetyanugraha put together intricate pixel art recreations of the five items that make up the Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set. These are the Flower of Life, the Plume of Death, the Sands of Eon, the Goblet of Eonothem, and the Circlet of Logos. Each of these Genshin Impact artifacts is shown in full color and hovering slightly off the ground against a grey-green backdrop. A touch of sprite animation has them bouncing up and down slightly, their shadows growing and shrinking accordingly.

This isn't the first time a Genshin Impact player has recreated one of the game's items, but it may be one of the most accurate. Ekasetyanugraha's decision to capture the ethereal Artifact Set in pixel art rather than trying to bring it into the real world may have worked in their favor. Visually, the Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set is modeled after the delicate shapes of nature. From the delicate petals of the Flower of Life to the fragile strands of the Plume of Death, the artifacts are designed to look airy and frail. Creating physical versions of them might be more difficult than it first seems.

As of writing, it appears that other fans are impressed by ekasetyanugraha's creation. Several user expressed excitement at the pixel art recreation, especially since it also comes as a mobile wallpaper version. One user noted that the sprite work reminded them of MapleStory, while a second user said they looked like items from Terraria. Ekasetyanugraha has also created a number of other sprite-based fan works, including a screenshot that re-imagines Genshin Impact as a PS1 RPG game.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
