Genshin Impact has been out for almost two years and the action-RPG continues to impress players by introducing new characters, weapons, and different parts of the map. The world of Genshin Impact is made of seven different nations, each of which has a unique environment and culture.

With such a huge landscape, it does not come as surprise that players often encounter unexpected interactions. A new video posted on the official subreddit reveals a hilarious interaction that includes the fan-favorite character Ayaka, Anemo Slimes, and a tornado.

Tornadoes are an interesting Genshin Impact obstacle that have the ability to draw players in and throw them out after a short period of time which usually leads to fall damage. While they appear randomly on the map, players can find their first tornado during an Archon quest in Stormterror's Liar. Reddit user Thin-Kinkle entered a tornado and while they were expecting their Ayaka to fall to the ground and most likely die, a group of Anemo Slimes that also were sucked in prevented the fall by keeping Ayaka in the air with their models.

Sadly, after a couple of seconds, Ayaka's model separates from them, and she eventually falls on the ground. Multiple comments claim that despite playing the game for a very long time, they have apparently never encountered a tornado in the game. This is because these obstacles completely disappear after Dvalin is defeated as part of the Archon quest. Characters lose all of their HP after their interaction with a tornado because the fall damage is calculated from the time spent flying instead of the height from which the characters are falling.

The character featured in the video, Kamisato Ayaka, is currently available on the limited "The Heron's Court" banner. She was originally released back in Genshin Impact update 2.0 alongside the first part of Inazuma. Ayaka is still considered to be one of the strongest DPS characters in the game due to her potential to dish out tons of elemental damage. She has great synergy with her brother, Ayato, who has been part of the first banner cycle of the same update.

Players who still think about pulling for Ayaka can take some additional time to make up their minds since her banner will be extended. The main reason for this extension is the fact that developer HoYoverse officially confirmed that Genshin Impact update 2.7 has been delayed. Even though the game didn't officially reveal the reason for the delay, the Genshin Impact community believes that it's due to the complicated COVID-19 situation in Shanghai.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development.
