Version 3.7's Flagship Event: "Duel! The Summoner's Summit"

Genshin Impact 3.7 Duel! A Summoner's Summit Poster

The event story of Version 3.7 is dubbed "Duel! The Summoner's Summit," with the premise being that the King of Invokations Grand Prix is taking place among several nations in Teyvat. The Traveler will spectate the event and accompany a new character named Charlotte, a journalist from Fontaine who's reporting on the tournament and its competitors. The event looks very enticing, as all sorts of characters will be making their appearances and showing off their Genius Invokation TCG skills, including Cyno, Yae Miko, and Hu Tao. Players will have to wait and see who will come out victorious as the King (or Queen) of Invokations, although there'll be a mystery or conflict in the midst of the event for the Traveler and Charlotte to discover.

Like most of Genshin Impact's flagship events, there will be four mini-games for players to partake in to earn rewards and acquire Primogems. In "A Tour of Wonders," players will have to find checkpoints among the four accessible nations and collect stamps from the checkpoints after completing a specific challenge. "Zero Hour Invokation" is a special Genius Invokation TCG tournament where players have to build their own card decks from a pool of cards given by organizers. "Evermotion Mechanical Painting" is a returning puzzle event in which players have to organize gears to match specific shapes. Lastly, "Heart of the Dice" is a combat game mode in which players use elemental dice to deal major damage to enemies.

New 4-Star Character Kirara and Returning Character Banners

Genshin Impact 3.7 Special Program Characters

Version 3.7 will introduce a single new character for players to pull for: Kirara. Kirara is a 4-star Dendro unit from Inazuma who uses swords, although in her animations, she actually engages in hand-to-hand combat and scratches enemies. The reason that she scratches enemies is that she's a nekomata, a yokai defined by their cat-like features, and she's also a courier for an Inazuman delivery company known as Komaniya Express.

Kirara's abilities in Genshin Impact fulfill all sorts of purposes. Tapping her elemental skill deals Dendro damage and creates a Dendro shield, but holding Kirara's skill transforms into her Urgent Neko Parcel state. In this state, Kirara turns into a cat box, increasing her movement speed, climbing speed, and jumping power along with the effects of tapping her skill. For her elemental burst, Kirara drops a package onto enemies, dealing Dendro damage and spawning multiple Dendro bombs to deal further damage to enemies.

With Genshin Impact Version 3.7's character banners, there will be four re-run banners for the 5-star characters. The first half of Version 3.7 will be headlined by Yoimiya and Yae Miko, with Kirara as a new 4-star. In the second phase of Version 3.7, Kaedehara Kazuha and Alhaitham will receive re-runs as well.

Genius Invokation TCG: Radiant Secrets Update

Genshin Impact 3.7 Genius Invokation TCG Radiant Secrets Update

Along with a major event story focusing on Genius Invokation TCG, the game mode itself will be receiving a major update in Version 3.7. The update will introduce numerous new cards for players to acquire and battle against, including character cards, monster cards, and action cards. Players might be looking forward to acquiring the cards of the four Genshin Impact Archons to incorporate into their decks.

The update will also introduce players to a couple of new game modes in Genius Invokation TCG: "Arena of Champions" and "The Forge Realm's Temper." The "Arena of Champions" will be a PvP challenge mode where players have to defeat their opponents five times to win and continue the challenge, but being defeated three times will result in a loss and reset the challenge progress. In contrast, "The Forge Realm's Temper" is a PvE mode where players can choose the difficulty and assign various conditions in special battles against AI opponents.

New Story Quest and Hangout Event: Series X

Yoimiya becomes the first non-Archon 5-star character to have a second Story Quest. In Carassius Auratus Chapter: Act 2, Yoimiya will travel to Sumeru alongside the Traveler for an adventure, yet it's unknown why she chose the Nation of Wisdom as her destination. It'll be up for players to see once the quest comes out in the next update, for Kaveh will be the single hangout buddy introduced. Genshin Impact's Kaveh, the renowned yet troubled architect from Sumeru, will get more screen time following his prominent role in Version 3.6's "Parade of Providence" event quest.

All Minor Events Coming to Version 3.7

Following the big flagship event in the first half of Version 3.7, other minor events will fill in the rest of the duration of the update. "Divine Ingenuity: Collector's Chapter" is the sequel to the domain-creation event that brings forth new contraptions and challenges for players to include when building their own domains. The second event is "Feast of the Departed Warriors," a familiar boss-fighting mode in which players can select certain conditions to increase the difficulty in battles against the Lightning Manifestation, the Bathysmal Vishaps, and the Aeonblight Drake. The final event will be Fayz Trials: Hypothesis, an arena event where players can use trial characters to test out potions that empower combat abilities.

Genshin Impact's First Fontaine Teaser

Genshin Impact Fontaine Teaser Traveler Swimming

At the end of the Special Program, Hoyoverse dropped a teaser for the next Genshin Impact region, Fontaine. There's not much information regarding the land governed by the Hydro Archon, so the teaser was a pleasant surprise for viewers. The teaser revealed an aquatic area of Fontaine, where various types of fish and sea creatures live. The last thing shown was the Traveler swimming in the water with wildlife teeming around them, hinting at the idea of underwater exploration in Genshin Impact, but players will have to wait and see once Fontaine arrives.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
