Genshin Impact has officially revealed the release date of the upcoming live stream event for update 3.3. The game's social media accounts have already confirmed the arrival of two new characters in the update, the five-star Anemo user named Wanderer and a new mysterious four-star character known as Faruzan.

Developer HoYoverse has an interesting pattern of hosting a Special Program event a couple of days before each new Genshin Impact update arrives. The live stream usually reveals most of the upcoming content including new characters, regions, weapons, or events.

Genshin Impact's official Twitter account has finally revealed the specific date for the version 3.3 Special Program. According to the announcement, the event will be held on November 25 at 7 AM (UTC-5). The official event art includes one of the new characters named Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche, who is one of the most anticipated roster additions. He was part of the game's official storyline for a very long time with his first appearance dating back to version 1.1. After being introduced as a friendly character, his true evil intentions were quickly uncovered and many players expected Scaramouche to be one of the end-game bosses.

One of Genshin Impact's recent trailer videos has revealed that Scaramouche has a quite tragic story. He was initially created to be the carrier of the Electro Gnosis which would make him the Electro Archon, however, the God of Eternity changed her mind and sealed Wanderer's powers. Since then, he joined the infamous Fatui organization where he became one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

There is a chance that Wanderer switches to the good side of the story before he joins the playable roster. Even though he was previously known as an Electro character, his official splash art has confirmed that he will have the ability to control the Anemo element. According to recent beta information, Wanderer will be a new DPS character with a unique play style that allows him the fly through the air with the help of the Anemo element.

Itto's appearance on the art gives more credibility to the previous leaks claiming that he will arrive on the same double banner as Wanderer. Arataki Itto is also a very strong DPS unit that can deal tons of damage if placed in the right team composition. He is a crucial part of the famous all-Geo type of team comp which also includes the four-star support Gorou whose kit revolves around having Itto as the main DPS.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
