Genshin Impact's character roster keeps growing with each new update and it seems like miHoYo has no plans to stop this trend. After all, the addition of new playable characters is probably one of the most anticipated event in the game.

Dainsleif is a very mysterious character that made his appearance in one of the first official Genshin Impact announcements back in September 2020. So far he has played a significant role in Genshin Impact's main story.

Yae Miko has officially been confirmed for update 2.5 and many fans are already looking ahead to see which character is next in line. New character additions will probably be a part of the Genshin Impact 2.6 update, although none of them have been confirmed by miHoYo so far. A recent tweet by one of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers, Ubatcha1, has revealed that Dainsleif will make an appearance in update 2.6.

Genshin Impact usually aligns its character releases with story content meaning that important characters like Zhongli and Raiden Shogun have introduced their representative regions to the game which are Liyue and Inazuma. The islands of Inazuma have been the focal point of multiple previous updates and it won't come as a surprise if miHoYo decides to close the book on this region, at least for now. Dainsleif has a connection to the Khaenri'ah region which could be the next place to visit.

Fans have had the option to find more information about these mysterious characters during the We Will Be Reunited quest which took place in Genshin Impact 1.4. It was revealed that Dainsleif is one of the only characters to have survived the curse of his people. By doing so, he was targeted by another curse that gave him immortality which forced him to wander the world of Teyvat for eternity.

According to multiple Genshin Impact leaks, players will have to wait just a little longer for Dainsleif's arrival considering that two popular characters, Kamisato Ayato and Shikanoin Heizou, seem to be next in line. Ayato is the head of the Kamisato clan and even though the majority of the Genshin Impact community thought that it was Ayaka who was pulling the strings in the clan, the recent story quests have revealed that it's actually Ayato who works in the background and assumes the leadership tasks for the clan to remain powerful. Shikanoin Heizou is a popular Inazuma detective who works for the Tenryou Commission.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
