Weapons and artifact sets are probably the two most important parts of a character's build in Genshin Impact. While weapons can be obtained by wishing on a specific banner, artifact sets have to be farmed in the game's various domains.

Genshin Impact characters can be equipped with up to five different artifact pieces. Gathering the perfect artifact set is almost impossible as every piece has one main stat and four random sub-stats.

Developer HoYoverse has officially confirmed two new artifact sets that will arrive in the upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.0. The first artifact set is called Deepwood Memories, and it will have the following effects:

  • 2-piece bonus increases Dendro damage bonus by 15%.
  • 4-piece bonus decreases the opponent's Dendro Resistance by 30% by 8 seconds. This effect can be triggered even if the character is not on the field.

Gilded Dreams is the name of the second set, and it will have the following effects:

  • 2-piece bonus increases the character's Elemental Mastery by 80.
  • 4-piece bonus grants significant buffs after triggering an Elemental Reaction. The buffs are based on the Elemental Type of other members of the team composition. Attack is increased by 14% for each party member who has the same Elemental Type as the set holder, and elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every member with a different Elemental Type.

The first artifact set, Deepwood Memories, will probably be the go-to choice for the upcoming Dendro characters. The recently announced Denbro bow user Tighnari will probably perform at his best when equipped with his set. He is confirmed to be a new DPS character with a strong focus on his unique Charged Attack mechanic. Tighnari could also become a decent choice for the sub-DPS role.

The fact that the effect applies even after the character leaves the field means that it could be also used by Dendro supports such as the upcoming four-star bow user Collei. The new version of Aether and Lumine will also serve as a great choice for the Dendro support role. Their Elemental Burst has the ability to constantly apply the new Dendro element in a large area which can hardly be matched by any other Dendro support, at least in the upcoming update 3.0.

The Gilded Dreams artifact set will be a great set for characters that benefit from having high Elemental Mastery numbers like Yae Miko, Fischl, or Kuki Shinobu. However, the set could also be a good fit for Tighnari since a big part of this kit seems to scale with Elemental Mastery. The 4-piece bonus will allow players to get creative while building the right team composition.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
