Genshin Impact’s Moonchase Festival is well underway, delivering generous rewards to travelers who complete the celebratory challenges. The “Trail of Delicacies” re-enacts a journey the adepti of Liyue undertook along the “adeptal path," exploring Teyvat’s regional landscapes and cuisines. The Adventurer’s Guild has put together a series of trails to survey and local meals to eat as an homage to the legend – for a limited time, follow the Trail of Delicacies: Path of Gentle Breezes for Primogems, ascension materials, and the fabled Luxurious Sea-Lord refinements.

Path of Gentle Breezes: Trail Comforts

Offer gourmet dishes to obtain “Trail Comfort," or party buffs (these will only be active during challenge participation). Each Path will have a unique set of dishes and benefits. Path of Gentle Breezes has the following Trail Comforts:

• Offered 2 Delicacies: Defeating an opponent during the challenge increases your own party members’ DMG by 6% for 90s. Max 10 stacks.
• Offered 4 Delicacies: When a character is gliding, they will restore 10% HP every second.
• Offered 5 Delicacies: Receive Hero’s Wit x 2 & Mora x 20,000

Trail of Delicacies: How to Get Started

Prerequisites: Complete “Moonlight Merriment: Part I” and “The Many Matters of the Moonchase Festival."

1. To begin the Trail of Delicacies journey, access the Events Overview window and select the “Moonlight Merriment” section. Go to “Trail of Delicacies” and the second option, “Path of Gentle Breezes," will open with a stylized pop-up illustration of Mondstadt.
2. Scrolling over the challenge icons displays a preview of the enemies present at each location, so swipe through to ensure team preparedness – or keep this guide handy for reference.
3. “Offer Delicacy” allows players to submit dishes for the aforementioned Trail Comforts. The delicacies are: Delicious Chicken-Mushroom Skewer, Delicious Teyvat Fried Egg, Delicious Sweet Madame, Delicious Flaming Red Bolognese, and Delicious Mondstat Hash Brown. A “delicious” dish is achieved with a Perfect cooking score. Auto-cooked recipes are automatically Perfect.
4. If necessary, prepare the dishes before embarking on this journey. The Trail Comforts won’t make or break the success rate for higher AR travelers, but they certainly don’t hurt.
5. After returning to the menu and selecting the first challenge, players will be redirected to a Trail icon near Dadaupa Gorge. Enable navigation and teleport to the adjacent marker.

CHALLENGE 1

Special Rules: Attendants at the camp can increase the Physical RES and all Element RES of the camp Leader and periodically restore that Leader’s HP. The Leader will destroy the previous batch of Attendants every 60 seconds and summon a new batch. A maximum of 2 sets of new Attendants may be summoned.

1. The “Special Rules” of Path of Gentle Breezes increases the Leader’s resistance to Physical and Elemental damage. This is true for every challenge, so going into the Trail with Supports that de-buff opponents or buff party members is helpful.
2. The Leader for this round is a Wooden Shieldwall Mitachurl, irritating for its ability to block attacks with a hefty shield. Pyro and claymore strikes will whittle down the shield, while Freezing the Mitachurl disregards the existence of the shield altogether.
3. The goal is to destroy the Leader as swiftly as possible: it will refresh the attendants twice, which means dealing with up to three sets of attendants total if the Leader lives for more than 120 seconds. The ideal team would have both a crowd control representative and a shield – if not both, then at least one or the other.
4. The abundance of grassy areas throughout Mondstat risk Burning a Pyro-wielding party, yet Pyro is necessary for the strongest Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact: Melt and Vaporize. Recommended team options include a Reverse-Melt (it’ll be difficult to keep Cryo status when the grass is Burning), Vaporize, or Overload set-up with shielding to avoid Burn, or a Freeze composition with Anemo to disable the attendants and avoid interruption while chipping away at the Leader. Recommended Teams:
5. Reverse-Melt: Kaeya, Xiangling, Bennet, Diona – equip Bennet with Noblesse Oblige to buff the party’s ATK on top of his own Burst-buff, plus Pyro Resonance’s 25% ATK increase. Cryo Resonance increases CRIT Rate against Cryo-affected opponents, and Diona will both shield and heal the team while negating Burn. Kaeya and Xiangling’s Bursts active at once is an effective form of crowd control.
6. Vaporize: Tartaglia, Xiangling, Albedo, Zhongli – equip Albedo with Archaic Petra and Zhongli with Tenacity of the Milileth to maximize Tartaglia’s Vaporize. Albedo’s Elemental Mastery-boosting talent buffs the reaction, while Zhongli’s Jade Shield breaks down nearby enemy Elemental & Physical RES. Geo Resonance buffs the shield, increases shielded character damage, and lowers enemy Geo RES. Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Albedo, Zhongli is another powerful version of this team. Diluc, Mona, Bennet, Noelle is a bit more F2P-friendly, with Pyro Resonance instead of Geo for that delicious 25% ATK boost.
7. Freeze: Ayaka, Mona, Venti, Diona – equip Venti with Viridescent Venerer to shred enemy RES and Mona with Noblesse Oblige (or Diona if Mona has a Sub-DPS build). Cryo Resonance will buff CRIT Rate, Mona will buff damage with her Omen, and both Mona and Venti are fantastic crowd control. Ganyu (keep with Venti – she’s fragile) and Kazuha are great substitutes, with a F2P alternative: Kaeya, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Barbara.
8. Go straight in on the Leader and ignore the attendants (Anemo crowd controllers, launch Burst to tumble them). The Dendro Samachurl will spread Pyro and eventually inflict Burn on the Leader, advantageous as long as shields are present.
9. After defeating the Leader, all remaining attendants will dissipate. Collect the item drops, open the spawned chest, and follow the wind current path to the next challenge. Note: every new challenge area receives a map marker, so the trail does not have to be finished in one sitting.

1. The wind current leads to a shoreline, meaning Hydro infusions are likely for Anemo users and Burn is much less of a threat.
2. Beware the explosive barrels, Treasure Hoarder tossing fire, and Fatui Agent’s ignited knife-ring attack, all capable of breaking a Freeze or Burning.
3. The Fatui Pyro Agent has innate Pyro-resistance, so avoid a Pyro DPS in this fight. His “Burst” activates after six clones are created, and it’s pretty devastating – avoid clone creation altogether by staggering the Agent, which destroys any present clones.
4. Clones may also be extinguished with elemental touches: Ayaka and Mona’s alternative sprints work, and Mona is extra effective by tracking an invisible Agent with an Omen. Tartaglia, Yoimiya, and Qiqi have the same tagging ability.
5. The best combat options are the Freeze team (Ayaka, Mona, Venti, Diona) or Vaporize team (Tartaglia, Xiangling, Albedo, Zhongli). While Zhongli is ideal because of his amazing kit and petrification, Noelle is a great Geo sub for her Burst AoE.
6. Activate a shield before approaching the camp to avoid any projectile or spinning knife surprises, then crowd control (Mona and Venti’s Burst, or Xiangling and Zhongli’s Burst). Hone in on the Fatui Agent and residual damage should be enough to eliminate the attendants.
7. After defeating the Leader, gather up the Treasure Hoarder Insignias and Sacrificial Knives, raid the camp for ingredients, then crack open the treasure and follow the wind current.

1. Freeze is slow going due to the presence of Cryo/Hydro Slimes, yet Burn is a threat because the grass–shielded Pyro is most effective here due to the Electro/Cryo/Hydro combination of assailants.
2. The Slimes will approach as the ranged Hilichurls hang back, and the latter can be quickly decimated by blowing up the exploding barrels serendipitously right beside them. Diluc’s Burst is an excellent pushback against the gathering Slimes (eliminating the Cryo Slimes on contact) and will travel all the way back to the Shooters, igniting the barrels. Venti’s (or Sucrose’s) Burst aimed over the barrels can also pull in all of the attendants and they will instantly vanish.
3. DPS Ningguang with Burst DPS Diluc, Noblesse Bennet, and Tenacity Zhongli (or Petra Noelle) is a scary Pyro Resonance & Geo Resonance team perfect for this situation. The Tartaglia or Hu Tao-led Vaporize teams previously noted are an option, as is a ranged, Pyro-present Venti team (Yanfei, Xingqiu, Bennet, Venti) since everything is light enough to be drawn into his Burst.
4. Defeat the Electro Slime Leader, pick up the item drops, open the chest, and again, follow the wind current.

1. Environmental Pyro is pretty much guaranteed here, thanks to the Pyro Abyss Mage Leader. Fortunately, this allows for an Anemo character to immediately Swirl the Hilichurl attendants into the afterlife and easily break the Pyro Abyss Mage’s shield before it has a chance to summon more.
2. The Anemo-Freeze team is most recommended: use Venti, Kazuha, or Sucrose to eliminate the attendants with a Pyro-infused Swirl.
3. Switch to the Hydro-applier – Mona, Xingqiu, Barbara, or Kokomi – to extinguish the shield and apply Wet.
4. Ayaka and Kaeya are the best melee Cryo DPS, while Chongyun, Rosaria, Qiqi and Diona are Sub-DPS/Support Freeze assistants (for unusual DPS choices like Kazuha or Mona) with a relatively small AoE that’s just right for the small Mage.
5. Tartaglia’s Vaporize team is another option: evaporate the shield with his Skill, apply Pyro with Xiangling (or chosen substitute), then one-shot with Tartaglia’s Burst.
6. Heavy hits such as Charged Attacks and claymores, Mona’s suspension tactic, and Anemo Skills/Bursts are other non-Freeze options for interrupting the Abyss Mage before it can re-establish its shield.
7. Defeat the Leader, collect the treasure, and on to the next challenge.

1. The Leader in this challenge is a Blazing Axe Mitahurl, a creature with two problematic attacks: axe spin and axe slam. The former wildly swings the axe in a spin that’s difficult to recover from until it’s over, and the latter involves a giant leap into the air before a fiery descent.
2. A shield is recommended to avoid getting caught in the spin, which will also ignite the grass and Burn the party. The axe slam’s landing is telegraphed by a red circle.
3. Diluc, Mona, Bennet and Noelle will stagger the Mitachurl more easily with two claymores, Pyro Resonance, and Crystallize. Mona’s Burst is enough crowd control for the attendants while simultaneously buffing Diluc’s Vaporize damage. Any of the previously discussed double-Geo Vaporize teams and protected Reverse-Melt teams are great choices too.
4. Defeat the Leader, open the treasure chest, and proceed to the final challenge. Again, the wind current path isn’t mandatory – stop and heal at a Statue if necessary, then teleport close to the most recent Trail icon.

1. The last obstacle to obtaining that precious Luxurious Sea-Lord refinement is the dreaded Stonehide Lawachurl. This Lawachurl already has its own formidable 50% Physical RES, 70% Geo RES, and 10% Elemental RES – that’s before the Trail of Delicacies “Special Rules” come into play.
2. Geo, claymore, and plunging attacks are the best shield-cracking tools, but breaking the shield isn’t required for dealing damage. Though shielded Lawachurls possess the aforementioned buffs and attack faster, they aren't completely immune to powerful strikes. Surprisingly, Anemo DPS plunging characters like Xiao and Kazuha can wreak havoc on the Lawachurl before the shield is broken (there’s also an achievement for defeating a Lawachurl without breaking its shield).
3. Xiao, Jean, Albedo, Zhongli is a top-tier team for Xiao that provides both Anemo and Geo Resonance, Zhongli’s de-buffing Skill, and battery Sucrose available as a non-healing alternative to replace Jean. Kazuha, Kaeya, Xiangling, Diona is another option, Diona providing a shield/healing while Kazuha uses his Skill surrounded by Kaeya and Xiangling’s Melt-friendly Bursts. Both his Skill and his Burst animation gives him the opportunity to dodge the Lawachurl’s charges. Diluc, Mona, Bennet, Noelle/Zhongli utilizes claymores instead of plunging.
4. A Freeze team will certainly be slower, but plenty of players don’t have Xiao, Kazuha, or Diluc. Chongyun’s claymore can hack away at the shield, and his Cryo-infusing Skill will keep the Lawachurl Frozen once the shield is down. Kaeya, Chongyun, Xingqiu, Barbara/Kokomi or Diona, depending on Xingqiu’s Energy Recharge, will leave this Lawachurl in the Ice Age where it belongs.
5. Collect the treasure - Path of Gentle Breezes is now complete.
