The Thundersoother set is a rare Artifact in Genshin Impact. Here's where players can find it in Teyvat, how to get it, and what it's best used for.

Pulling the right Artifacts is one of the most essential mechanics to Genshin Impact's gameplay, but pairing the perfect set with the right characters can be a bit of a challenge. Firstly, the rarest Artifact sets, Thundersoother included, can only be pulled when running Domains at higher levels. And even if players get lucky enough to pull the five-star Artifact of choice, the substats for Goblets, Sands, and Circlets are assigned at random, and how effective they are vary depending on the character's kit.

The Thundersoother set is geared towards Electro and Electro resistance (RES) in its main stats. At 2-piece, Thundersoother grants Electro RES an increase of 20% while at 4-piece, it increases damage against enemies that have been affected by Electro by 35%.

Although Thundersoother is one of the rarer Artifact sets in Genshin Impact, most players don't find it as useful as other Electro-geared sets—such as Thundering Fury, which is found in the same Domain—because it isn't optimized when targeted on enemies affected by an element other than Electro. However, the 4-piece buff can work well if running an Electro character as the main damage dealer, such as Fischl.

Still, some players find the Electro RES stat useful in Genshin Impact. For those that want to go farming for it, the Thundersoother set is located in Midsummer Courtyard, up in Starsnatch Cliff in Mondstadt. To have a chance at pulling any Artifacts from the Thundersoother set, players will have to run the Domain at 4th level or above. Unfortunately, Midsummer at 5th level offers no chance of pulling the Thundersoother Artifacts, but 6th level has the highest chances, which recommends character levels of 90.

Inside the Midsummer Courtyard Domain, players should expect to find Hydro Slimes, a Hydro Abyss Mage, and a Hydro Samachurl inside at 4th level, and at 6th level can find large Electro and Mutant Electro Slimes as well as 2 Fatui Electro Cicin Mages.

The Thundersoother set is best used if it's switched out prior to a fight with an enemy constantly affected by Electro, for example, the Electro Hypostasis. While Thundersoother isn't great for general adventuring or fighting standard enemies, equipping the set to Lisa or Fischl prior to a fight with the Electro Hypostasis would result in efficient damage.
