Genshin Impact fans are bracing for new Summer content coming soon, but miHiYo is now teasing fans with cryptic messages about an upcoming voice actor that could point fingers at a character from Resident Evil Village.

Several Genshin Impact fans are speculating on the identity of an upcoming voice actor for the miHoYo game.  A tweet shared by Genshin Impact's Japanese Twitter account teased a mysterious voice that will appear in the scheduled event during version 1.6.

Some Genshin Impact fans are speculating that the teased voice actress is the same person that voiced Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village Japanese dub. The cryptic tweet mentions a daughter of evil flames and specifically names Kikuko Inoue who provides her voice to the menacing Resident Evil character. The tweet also teases a recorder made of "mysterious technology" which plays the equally secretive voice.

Genshin Impact version 1.6 releases this summer and it will include new areas, new outfits, and tons of other additions. These additions apparently include the mysterious voice of Kikuko Inoue. Developers at miHoYo haven't clarified how Kikuko Inoue will be involved with the upcoming Summer update, but Genshin Impact fans won't have long to wait. Kikuko Inoue has lent her voice to multiple gaming projects in the past beyond Resident Evil Village, including Death Stranding, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Nioh 2.

Some fans are curious as to what teased character, if any, Kikuko Inoue may be voicing in version 1.6. Currently, miHoYo and its various channels have remained tight-lipped beyond this cryptic tweet, but Genshin Impact fans won't have long to wait with the new update releasing on June 6. Alongside the teased voice of Kikuko Inoue, a new character will be joining Genshin Impact with the new update. A new four-stage island-hopping adventure event will also include a battle with a new opponent known as Maguu Kenk. Kikuko Inoue hasn't been confirmed as the voice of either of the new characters.

Considering how many franchises Kikuko Inoue has joined, it'll be interesting to see how her voice is brought to the colorful world of Genshin Impact. Lady Dimitrescu blew up as a character ahead of the launch of Resident Evil Village through memes and social media and Kikuko Inoue may be continuing her voice-over work with Genshin Impact. The upcoming event will bring tons of new content and fixes to Genshin Impact, but Kikuko Inoue may lend her voice to the MMO in the future beyond version 1.6.

Genshin Impact is available right now for mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
