Updated on July 27, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: There are many types of enemies scattered around the world of Genshin Impact. Each possesses a specific weakness that allows players to gain the upper hand in battles. Skirmishers, for example, are usually found in groups and each uses a certain Element to fight. Travelers simply need to equip the correct characters to defeat them. Speaking of characters, the Skirmishers drop Recruit's Insignia, Sergeant's Insignia, and Lieutenant's Insignia that are used to level up certain characters like Diluc, Yelan, Tartaglia, and Mika in Genshin Impact.
Red pin represents a group of Skirmishers overground, while the yellow pin represents a group of Skirmishers underground.

There is only one group that consists of three Skirmishers in Tianqiu Valley, located directly west of the waypoint.
Lingju Pass
Similar to the previous location in Genshin Impact, there is one Skirmisher spawn located in Lingju Pass to the west of the waypoint. Players should be careful not to fight the Skirmishers close to the waterfall, as the enemies can occasionally become glitched on the cliff requiring the player to leave and return.
Lisha
There is one spawn in the Mt.Tianheng region, north of the road leading to Liyue Harbor. Additionally, another Skirmisher group is found in the mountains to the southeast of Qingxu Pool.

Tatarasuna (Mikage Furnace)
Several Fatui Skirmishers spawn around the Mikage Furnace on Yashiori Island. Some are found deep within the Furnace while some are located on higher ground. Players should know that Balethunder effects may be present in this area, so they need to be careful of the debuff when targeting these groups.

Gavireh Lajavard And Realm Of Farakhkert
A total of six groups of Skirmishers are located between Gavireh Lajavard and the Realm of Farakhkert.
Fighting Fatui Skirmishers
Be sure to be ready for a fight when taking on the Skirmishers, as they pack a formidable punch. Skirmishers often come in combinations that prove difficult for players, such as the infamous Cryo and Hydrogunner duos which combine the high power of Cryo attacks, the healing of Hydro, and the annoyance of Frozen reactions that stop the player in their tracks. Genshin Impact players can mitigate the difficulty of these combinations by focusing all of their efforts on one enemy at a time, destroying their chance to create elemental reactions.
Additionally, certain Fatui Skirmishers have special abilities, which make them more difficult in a group encounter. Anemoboxers have the recuperation ability, which re-motivates their comrades to fight after their elemental armor has been destroyed. Hydrogunners have healing capabilities that can easily make encounters longer. As such, players should focus on targeting Hydrogunners and Anemoboxers before they attack other Fatui Skirmishers in a group.
On the other hand, Fatui Skirmishers are also often grouped with Fatui Agents and Mirror Maiden in Genshin Impact, which can prove difficult for many players. Overall, Travelers can navigate any encounter by carefully planning which order they attack enemies.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile devices, PC, and PS4 with a Switch version in development.
