The official Genshin Impact 2.4 Livestream has revealed two new double banners that will arrive alongside the new region Enkanomiya. The two banner cycles will include four limited five-star characters: Shenhe and Xiao for the first and Zhongli and Ganyu for the second banner cycle.
A recent tweet by a credible leaker named SaveYourPrimos has apparently revealed the four-star characters that will join Shenhe and Xiao during the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 2.4. As predicted before, the four-star characters for both banners will be identical which means that if players want a certain four-star character they can spend their Primogems on either banner. The double banner will include the following four-star characters:
- Yun Jin - a four-star Goe character
- Chongyun - a four-star Cryo character
- Ningguang - a four-star Geo character
Choosing the right weapon is a critical part of building up a Genshin Impact character. Each weapon provides a specific set of stats which and new weapons are usually suited for the characters they arrive alongside with. Luckily, the new update 2.4 will include both Calamity Queller and Primordial Jade Winged Spear which are signature weapons for the limited five-star banner characters. The weapon banner will apparently include the following weapons:
- Calamity Queller - a five-star polearm
- Primordial Jade Winged-Spear - a five-star polearm
- Favonious Warbow - a four-star bow
- The Flute - a four-star sword
- Lithic Spear - a four-star polearm
- Favonious Greatsword - a four-star claymore
- The Widsith - a four-star catalyst
The Calamity Queller is the only new weapon that will arrive in the first banner of the upcoming update according to the leak and it's designed to fit Shenhe's playstyle. Adding this weapon to Shenhe's Elemental Skill and Burst means that she will probably be a strong sub-DPS character meaning that her potential lies in dishing out damage and providing buffs for the main DPS in the party. The fact that the weapon's effect is doubled if the character leaves the field hints that she could be a strong off-screen character who thrives on enabling other characters to deal damage.
There is a lot of excitement surrounding the arrival of the new characters Shenhe and Yun Jin, but it's safe to say that the announcement of a new region surely stole the show. According to multiple leaks, Enkanomiya will be a vertical map similar to Dragonspine which has multiple layers of explorable terrain. A recent map leak has revealed that there is not much distance between the map's teleport waypoints which is usually the case for vertical parts of Teyvat.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
