Dreams of Sword Art is a World Quest that was added with the release of Genshin Impact's 2.0 update, and players can unlock it by speaking with a samurai called Nameless at Tatarasuna. Upon initiating this quest, fans will be thrown into battle with the NPC, and they will be instructed to locate a special sword once Nameless has been defeated. That said, tracking down the blade mentioned by the nameless samurai in Genshin Impact can be tricky, as the details that are provided are quite vague.

For those players that unclear about exactly where they are to search for the sword that is relevant to the Dreams of Sword Art World Quest, it is the island situated just west of Kujou Encampment that is of interest. More specifically, Genshin Impact fans should head to the far north end of this island, as that is the precise location of the hut referenced by the nameless samurai. To be totally clear, a video that highlights this position can be found below, and players should be aware that they may encounter some enemies in the area.

Upon arriving at the hut, fans should climb the stairs that lead up a small cliff face on its southside and continue forward a few paces. This will ultimately lead players to a sword that has been driven into a stone, and they should interact with it to draw the Discarded Blade out. Additionally, fans can pickup the Family Letter that is on the ground nearby to get some additional context for this Genshin Impact 2.0 quest, though doing so is not required for the completion of the "search for the blade mentioned by the nameless samurai" quest step.

With the Discarded Blade in hand, players are now ready to give it to Nameless. This will lead to yet another duel, and again fans will need to dispatch the samurai in a designated amount of time. That second victory will not mark the end of Dreams of Sword Art, though, as fans will then need to collect a Jug of Wine from a character in Genshin Impact named Matsudaira, who can be found in Kujou Encampment.

After passing the drink along to the samurai, they will be given a name, and players will need to defeat them once again battle. From there, fans will need to locate the Masterless Blade, which is at the southeast corner of Nazuchi Beach, and bring it back to the NPC. That will trigger one final duel, and this Genshin Impact World Quest will finally be finished when it comes to an end.

Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
