Genshin Impact has been quick to draw attention for its expansive open world and generally free-to-play nature. While Travelers are invited to play through the game without having to purchase a copy, the game's developer miHoYo offers its players the opportunity to access unique equipment and party members by making "Wishes," which can be purchased.

By spending Primogems to purchase special items known as "Fates," Genshin Impact players can Wish for powerful new characters and weapons alike. Depending on the particular "banner" a player Wishes on, they have different chances of receiving different "prizes," one of which is the formidable four-star weapon known as the Sacrificial Bow.

The Sacrificial Bow is one of four weapons that form Genshin Impact's "Sacrificial Series." Players can currently find the Sacrificial Sword, Sacrificial Bow, Sacrificial Greatsword, and Sacrificial Fragments (catalyst), all of which share the same passive ability, "Composed." That said, there is currently no polearm that pertains to the Sacrificial Series. The only way to obtain a Sacrificial Bow (or any of the Sacrificial weapons) is by Wishing upon the standard Wanderlust Invocation banner, or the current "Weapons" banner, Epitome Invocation, featuring the new five-star Staff of Homa. Unfortunately, the Sacrificial Bow cannot be forged like some other four-star weapons, and players won't find it through normal gameplay either.

In other words, players must spend 160 Primogems at a time, if not an Intertwined Fate or Acquaint Fate, in order to obtain a Sacrificial Bow. Of course, this begs the question: is the Sacrificial Bow worth it? Well, the answer depends on each player's particular style. Generally speaking though, the Sacrificial Series of weapons are all considered quite handy.

First and foremost, the Sacrificial Bow, as are all of its Sacrificial siblings, is intended for characters that can deal damage with their Elemental Skill. It is relatively useless to characters like Childe, for example, who don't normally rely on their Elemental Skill to deal damage. It offers its users a Main Stat of Base ATK, and a Secondary Stat of Energy Recharge %. All the while, its Composed ability gives the equipped character's Elemental Skill a 40 percent chance of instantly refreshing its own cool-down (CD) upon damaging a character.

With no upgrades, this ability can trigger every 30 seconds with a 40 percent success rate, however, at Refinement Level 5, it offers an 80 percent success rate every 16 seconds. As such, players are highly recommended to give the Sacrificial Bow to a character like Diona, or Ganyu, for example, who can easily dish out damage with their Elemental Skill. Whether the weapon is fully Refined or not, the boost to Energy Recharge along with a consistent chance at a CD reset, are both indispensable.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
