Fans of the RPG Genshin Impact have finally seen the full reveal trailer for new hero Rosaria. While the character has been seen in-game, playing a role in Genshin Impact's most recent Invitation of Windblume event, this is the first footage of her in actual combat.

The lance-wielding Rosaria has been a fan favorite since her initial appearance on Dragonspine Mountain, with her striking aesthetic, broody personality, and mysterious motives. While there have been scenes showing a somewhat lighter, lazier side to them at Diluc's tavern recently, her new trailer shows she's definitely not to trifled with. Her moveset appears to use blink attacks and AoEs that can deflect projectiles, giving her a fairly high-skill playstyle.

As a Cryo hero, she's a great match for characters with Hydro attacks like Tartaglia's, or Electro type heroes such as Fischl, who make use of the Cryo/Electro superconductor synergy. She's also notable as the first Cryo Polearm wielder, making her a great match for players who enjoy using lance-type movesets, filling a slot in an otherwise sparse category of Genshin Impact heroes.

The mysterious nun seems to shirk her religious duties to the Church of Favonius seemingly at will, with her intro text highlighting how she leaves Mondstadt whenever she pleases to no consequence. Her rules-lousy persona is clearly seen in the trailer, as well as in game, as she's been seen to spend more time at the tavern than at church. Rosaria's voice actress in the English version is Elizabeth Maxwell, whom RWBY fans will recognize as the actress for Winter Schnee. Players who prefer the Japanese dub of the game will instead hear Kakuma Ai.

She can be seen in the current event a few times, helping guide the player through the ceremonial Blessing of Windblume festival. While there are a few hitches in the questline that aren't initially obvious to many Genshin Impact players, players get to see Rosaria some more in the event's closing scenes in Diluc's bar.

Genshin Impact players are not wanting for new content with another wave of characters recently leaked. The game's rapid-fire pacing of new content is keeping players enthralled months after launch, and the upcoming Rosaria release is only adding to the list of content. Since her first official showings in patch 1.2, players have wanted to know more about her, and now on the approach to Patch 1.5 it's likely that Rosaria will finally be added as a playable character.

The game's developers miHoYo have seen massive success with Genshin Impact, with Genshin Impact raking in over a billion dollars in revenue, marking it as one of the biggest mobile releases of all time. By combining desirable characters with a free-to-play gacha system, it seems many players have been keen to dip into their pockets to secure the characters they want- and it's certain that Rosaria won't be an exception to the rule.

Genshin Impact is out now for PC, PS4, and mobile devices, with Switch and PS5 versions also in development.
