Razor is one of the best 4-star DPS characters in Genshin Impact. His main type of damage is Physical damage, which is great for an Electro character. This is because he possesses one of the two elements needed to trigger Superconduct reaction.

What makes Razor so good in Genshin Impact is his Elemental Burst. During his Burst, Razor buffs his attack speed, which greatly amplifies his damage. He also continuously apply Electro on enemies. Razor's Elemental Skill has low damage, but it helps him acquire the energy needed for his demanding Burst. If players choose to build Razor's team, they have to understand his positives and negatives. For example, switching Razor out during his Elemental Burst will cause him to lose his buffs, making him selfish during fights.

Updated on December 5, 2021, by Nahda Nabiilah: With every update, there's often a shift in Genshin Impact's meta. For example, upon release, many Travelers long for Diluc as he was the best DPS in the game. However, the Darknight Hero is now clouded by other amazing units, like Hu Tao and Ganyu.

Luckily for Diluc, he's not the only one shifted off the list. Before Eula's release in Version 1.5, Razor was the best Physical DPS in the game. Now, the Wolf Boy has to settle with second place. Fortunately, new characters don't only mean more competitors, but it also means more support units.

Superconduct Supports

superconduct

Because Razor relies on Physical damage, he should be paired with a Cryo user to help him trigger Superconduct. Superconduct reduces enemies’ Physical Resistance which will further boost Razor's Physical damage.

Rosaria

Rosaria

Just like other Cryo characters, Rosaria too is a great candidate for Superconduct. For the Favonius Nun, players can choose to either build her as a damage support or buff support. As a damage support, Rosaria should be built with 4-Blizzard Strayer (or 2-Blizzard Strayer + 2-Noblesse Oblige) and as much offensive stat as possible; Attack, Critical Damage, and Critical Rate.

While for buff support, it's best to use Rosaria with 4-Noblesse Oblige, where she can buff Razor's attack whenever she uses Elemental Burst. With this build, players should also stack as much Critical Rate as possible. The Sister can inherit 15% of her Critical Rate to her team, so it won't hurt to build her until 100% Critical Rate.

Kaeya

kaeya

Kaeya is one of the most underrated characters in Genshin Impact. The Cavalry Captain's Elemental Skill has a low cooldown, so players can keep triggering Superconduct with him. Furthermore, Kaeya's Elemental Skill is also one of the best batteries in the game, so Kaeya can easily spam his Elemental Burst, Glacial Waltz.

This is thrilling because Kaeya's Elemental Burst is an off-field skill, similar to Xiangling. Players can swap Kaeya out after using his Burst and let Razor go berserk with Kaeya's Glacial Waltz.

Ganyu

ganyu

Ganyu's supportive abilities are so underrated because of her high DPS. Her Elemental Skill provokes enemies to attack it while her Elemental Burst creates a huge AOE of continuous Cryo application. Ganyu's Elemental Burst can have 100% uptime, so she's an amazing support to trigger Superconduct.

Diona

diona

Diona is everything Razor wants in one character. She can shield him during his Elemental Burst, giving players the confidence to be aggressive. She can heal Razor when he's hurt, and she can apply Cryo on enemies to trigger Superconduct.

Qiqi

qiqi

Qiqi is one of the best healers in the game. Her Elemental skill works well with Razor since he'll spend most of his time fighting at close range. Qiqi's Elemental Burst also continuously heals Razor as long as he's dealing damage, which is perfect because Razor needs as much field time as he can have.

Damage Buffers

Other than Superconduct, there are other ways Razor can boost his damage. Some characters offer Physical damage bonus, while some offer an attack boost. Razor could also utilize Resistance reduction.

Kazuha

kazuha normal attack

This unit is often compared to Venti. While Kazuha may not be as good as the Anemo Archon when it comes to crowd control, the Samurai is still one of the best support in Genshin Impact.

For Razor, Kazuha can group enemies, reduce their Electro Resistance, and buff Razor's Electro damage. This character is also somewhat F2P friendly, where Travelers can use the Iron Sting sword to further increase Kazuha's Elemental Mastery. This weapon is obtainable via forging.

Xinyan

genshin impact xinyan shield

Xinyan is an underrated support in Genshin Impact, especially for characters that count on Physical damage. She can shield her team and provide good Burst damage. Additionally, Xinyan can buff Physical damage with her passive and reduces the enemy's Physical Resistance with her fourth Constellation.

Bennett

bennett

Bennett can provide an attack buff for Razor with his Elemental Burst. Not only offensive buff, but Bennett also heals Razor in the AOE of his Elemental Burst. This allows Razor to attack the enemies without having to worry about dying. Furthermore, if players use both Bennett and Xinyan, they will trigger the Pyro Resonance. It will boost the team's attack by 25%.

Zhongli

zhongli

Zhongli does not only offer protection, but also Resistance reduction. His Jade Shield decreases the enemy's Physical Resistance by 20%. If this Resistance reduction is paired with Superconduct, Razor can enjoy massive damage on the enemies. This is mostly handy against Fatuis and Treasure Hoarders because they have an initial -20% Physical Resistance.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: Mistakes Players Make When Using Zhongli

If players have two Geo characters in the team, Razor will also enjoy 15% extra damage as long as he's protected by a shield.

Kujou Sara

kujou sara

Kujou Sara is a new character in Genshin Impact 2.1. She's designed to be a support, especially for Electro characters. Kujou Sara can grant attack buff with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. This talent is called Tengu Juurai.

After obtaining her sixth constellation, Kujou Sara becomes a top-tier support for Electro characters. The buff from Tengu Juurai won't only increase attack, but it will also increase Critical Damage of Electro attacks by 60%. Furthermore, if her Elemental Skill Tengu Juurai: Ambush hits an enemy, Kujou Sara will restore 1.2 Energy to her team for every 100% Energy Recharge she has. So the higher Energy Recharge, the more Energy restoration.

Other supports

other supports

Other than direct damage buff, Razor can also utilize sub-DPS and minor protections. Furthermore, even though Electro isn't the fan's favorite, players should not ignore its existence.

Electro Traveler

Gorou Hangout event ending 1

The Traveler is the only unit in Genshin Impact that can shift Element. So far, the protagonist can wield Anemo, Geo, or Electro. The skill kit follows each Element's stereotype; the Anemo form focuses on crowd control, Geo focuses on Geo construct, while Electro form enhances Energy Recharge.

Razor highly relies on his Elemental Burst, so Electro Traveler can help fill Razor's energy. Furthermore, Traveler's C2 also reduces the enemy's Electro Resistance, allowing the Wolf Boy to deal higher damage during his Elemental Burst.

Xingqiu

xingqiu

Xingqiu's Elemental Burst continuously damages the enemies while raining Hydro on them. If this is paired with Razor's Elemental Burst, he can keep triggering Electro-charged. This reaction deals damage to multiple enemies while minorly controlling them. Xingqiu's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst also provide protection and healing for Razor.

Albedo

albedo

Albedo is one of the easiest characters to build in Genshin Impact. This 5-star Geo character is highly underrated even though he can deal massive damage while being off-field. Players can simply use Albedo's Elemental Skill, then swap back to Razor.

Not only damage, but Albedo can also trigger Crystallize reaction when Razor hits the enemy with Electro attacks. This will grant Razor small protection. If Albedo is using 4-Archaic Petra, he can even buff Razor's Electro damage.

Sucrose

Genshin Impact sucrose

Sucrose is one of the most used support in Genshin Impact. She can crowd control enemies, provide Resistance reduction, and also buff the team's Elemental Mastery.

Elemental Mastery is only useful for Elemental reactions, but Razor can still utilize Sucrose's crowd control and Resistance reduction. With 4-Viridescent Venerer, Sucrose will allow Razor to deal higher Electro damage with his Elemental Burst.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
