The release of a new character is probably one of the most exciting events in Genshin Impact. However, once a limited character banner is gone, players need to wait for a banner re-run for a chance to pull for the desired character.

Bringing a banner character back has become very frequent in the last couple of months in Genshin Impact. A recent tweet from a credible leaker has revealed an interesting theory for one of the upcoming updates. The update predicts another banner re-run scheduled for update 2.5 which should arrive around mid-February.

Genshin Impact leaker SaveYourPrimos has made an interesting point about the return of the fan-favorite Raiden Shogun. Apparently, miHoYo has been releasing banner re-runs on an interesting pattern. Five-star characters usually receive their banner re-runs five updates after their initial release. Raiden Shogun was released on update 2.0 which means that she can be expected to make a return in 2.5. The leak does not reveal any information if she's being joined by another character for a double banner.

Raiden Shogun has been one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters and she currently holds the record for being the most pulled character on a limited banner. She is widely considered to be the third strongest support at the moment, right after Venti and Zhongli. Her passive playstyle provides multiple buffs even while being off the field which is good in most team compositions.

One of her biggest pros is that she is one of the most free-to-play friendly characters in Genshin Impact considering that she's a very one of the strongest supports even at zero constellations. Many five-star characters are required to be pulled multiple times to build up their constellations in order to almost double their strength like Xiao or Diluc. However, that is not the case with Raiden Shogun since the difference between C0 and C6 is not as big for her. Like most other characters, she still needs to be built in a proper way in order to maximize her potential.

Multiple leaks have also confirmed that Raiden could be joined by another popular character by the name Yae Miko who's also predicted to be a part of the same update. Yae has become very popular since her appearance in trailers for 2.0 and 2.1 which made clear that she will be a part of the following updates. However, she's been missing since then and it seems like players will have to wait for a couple of months to pull for her.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
