While Genshin Impact is usually considered to be an open-world single-player experience, the game actually gives players the option to join each other's worlds. Each server allows up to four different players, which allows them to enter various domains together and combat Teyvat's most terrifying beasts as a team.

Not long ago, a new post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit was shared that shows an interesting interaction between party members in the game. Reddit user pandandandandandanda has posted a hilarious video showing how to punish team members for being AFK.

Unlike some other random NPCs, like the Unusual Hilichurl Wei, team members' characters in Genshin Impact cannot be moved by simply running into them. However, the Redditor managed to slowly push Yelan near a fireplace in the city of Mondstadt by using Zhongli's pillar. After lighting the fire, Yelan started losing HP before dying from the Pyro damage. She was replaced by the four-star character Xingqui, who unfortunately faced the same fate as his Hydro colleague.

The whole project took a lot of dedication, and the 14-minute video has already gathered almost 4k upvotes. Fans in the comment section were speculating why both of the characters took reduced Pyro damage from the fire. The most accurate theory is that the damage reduction is caused by Hydro Elemental Resonance, which is triggered by having two or more Hydro characters in the party. Hydro Elemental Resonance lowers Pyro damage by 40%, and it grants a 25% ATK buff.

Multiple replies in the comment section claim that the video is yet more proof that Zhongli is the most useful character in the game. His elemental skill can generate one of the strongest shields in Genshin Impact, as well as spawn a pillar, like the one presented in the video. His last limited banner re-run was placed on Genshin Impact update 2.4, which means that players will probably have to wait for a couple of months for his return.

It's quite symbolic that Yelan and Xingqiu are placed on the same team composition considering that back when Yelan was announced, she was considered to be a slightly stronger version of the four-star character Xingqiu. However, she's proven to be one of the best off-field damage dealers in the game with the ability to provide constant Hydro application. She is part of the current Discerner of Enigmas limited banner, which is set to expire on June 21.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
