Genshin Impact fans recently received confirmation that the highly anticipated Dragonspine region would be introduced later this month, on December 23. Despite this news, and other existing upcoming events, miHoYo has unveiled yet another fun bonus for players to look forward to.

As per a recent tweet from the official Genshin Impact Twitter account, Travelers can expect Paimon to introduce a brand new "Quiz Event" on December 18, allowing players a chance to win, at the very least, mora, the game's standard form of currency.

While Travelers are currently being tested on food delivery skills with the "While It's Warm" event, it seems that this new special event will instead test players' knowledge of Teyvat. Hosted by Paimon herself, the "A Thousand Questions With Paimon" Quiz Event is set to begin on December 18, and will allow participants to earn mora.

Details remain scarce, so players are still unaware of the nature of the event; that said, some speculate that it may follow in the footsteps of the recent web-based event featuring Childe and the Geo Archon, Zhongli. The game's Childe and Zhongli event invited players to take part in a series of cute stylized "missions" via a webpage accessible from the in-game inbox. Players who completed event tasks on the webpage were subsequently rewarded with in-game loot, including Primogems. If "A Thousand Questions With Paimon" works the same way, players will likely access the event through a link sent to Paimon's Inbox.

Since miHoYo has specifically declared that players will have a "chance to win Mora!" with Paimon's Quiz Event, most are speculating that Primogems will not be offered as a reward for this Event. Nonetheless, mora is indispensable, as aside from being used to purchase in-game goods, it's also required when upgrading nearly every in-game feature. Likewise, the event's timeframe is still up for debate as well.

The announcement claims that "A Thousand Questions With Paimon" begins on December 18, so players have reason to believe it will last longer than a single day. That said, this could very well be a simple 24-hour-long special, featuring one big "quiz" for players to work through. Some players are also hoping that the event veers away from the Childe/Zhongli pattern, as that would imply an opportunity for players to interact with Paimon a bit more directly.

Though Paimon is present throughout Genshin Impact's stories and quests, players rarely directly interact with the odd fairy-being for extended periods of time. An in-game event led by Paimon would mean that players could probably learn a bit more about the mysterious whimsical figure, who currently remains mostly shrouded in mystery.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
