Ocean-Hued Clam in Genshin Impact is an artifact set released in version 2.3. Unlike Maiden Beloved, which is fully focused on healing, Ocean-Hued Clam offers offensive passive. This equipment is often considered the savior of Kokomi, allowing the Divine Priestess to move from being a mere Genshin Impact healer to being a great sub-DPS.
However, of course, Sangonomiya Kokomi isn’t the only healer in Genshin Impact. Considering there are multiple options for this job, players may equip Ocean-Hued Clam on other characters as well. But before doing this, Genshin Impact players must first understand which unit can fully benefit from the Ocean-Hued Clam artifact.
Ocean-Hued Clam Tier List In Genshin Impact
Ocean-Hued Clam has the following effect:
- 2-piece: Healing Bonus +15%.
- 4-piece: Every 3.5s, creates a bubble that accumulates the amount of HP recovered from healing (including overflow healing). After 3s, the bubble will explode, dealing damage in a small AoE based on 90% of the accumulated healing. This effect is capped at 30k HP.
So, the more a character heals their team, the more damage Ocean-Hued Clam will deal. Note that this effect can’t Crit and is not affected by Physical damage bonuses. However, lowering the opponent’s Physical resistance enhances the bubble’s damage.

A-Tier
A-Tier units for Ocean-Hued Clam are the ones that can easily maximize the artifact’s full potential.
- Sangonomiya Kokomi: Kokomi is the character who the Ocean-Hued Clam was made for in Genshin Impact, so it’s no surprise that she places on the top-tier.
- Qiqi: With Ocean-Hued Clam, Qiqi greatly enhances her off-field DPS. Her Elemental Skill isn’t that good for Ocean-Hued Clam, but her Burst is perfect for the job. The little zombie also applies this Burst effect when she uses her Normal Attack, so players can practically have Qiqi healing 100% of the time.
- Barbara: Like Qiqi’s, Barbara’s Skill is mediocre to trigger the artifact set. However, she can easily hit the 30k cap using her Elemental Burst or Normal Attacks.
B-Tier
B-Tier characters for Ocean-Hued Clam are units that can utilize the artifact, but they have better options as their best-in-slot.
- Sayu: Sayu’s Elemental Burst only cures the active character, so it’s not that good for Ocean-Hued Clam. Instead, players have to utilize her passive (which allows her to heal when triggering Swirl) to get higher healing. However, considering the little Ninja will need field time to do this job, it’s better if Genshin Impact players use other sets on Sayu instead, like 4-Viridescent Venerer.
- Jean: Jean’s Burst is a decent source of damage for Ocean-Hued Clam, but similar to Sayu, players will be missing out on a lot of Jean’s damage potential if they focus on Ocean-Hued Clam.
- Noelle: Noelle can easily hit Ocean-Hued Clam’s 30k healing cap. Sadly, she doesn’t cure off-field and her healing is limited by the availability of her shield. Therefore, Ocean-Hued Clam on Noelle is far from a reliable source of damage. With the Favonius Maid, players are better off with offensive artifacts like Retracing Bolide or Husk of Opulent Dreams.
D-Tier
D-Tier is for units that can trigger the Ocean-Hued Clam effect but would be far from its 30k cap.
- Diona: Diona’s Elemental Burst heals too slowly and only affects the active character. In co-op, players may get close to the cap, but in solo mode, Diona is not optimal with Ocean-Hued Clam.
F-Tier
F-Tier is for characters that are barely able to utilize Ocean-Hued Clam’s passive.
- Bennett: Bennett can only trigger Ocean-Hued Clam's effect when he cures a team member, and not after he stops healing (if the character has over 70% HP). This makes Bennett the worst option for Ocean-Hued Clam.
