Battles against Ruin Guards in Genshin Impact may be arduous due to the enemies' health pool, but an NPC may show up and provide some motivation to the player in Mondstadt. Nearly two years after the launch of Genshin Impact, players continue to find oddities and mysteries within the Mondstadt region.

Reddit user u/EricTheBoi discovered that Harry, a Knight of Favonius from Mondstadt, may cheer the player if the battle is within proximity to the character. The user demonstrates his discovery in a gameplay video as he fights and lures a Ruin Guard toward Harry. Harry will clap and cheer for the player instead of responding with his normal dialogue. In most instances, Genshin Impact players cannot interact or talk to NPCs while a battle is ongoing.

In the gameplay video, u/EricTheBoi uses Genshin Impact characters Mona, Diluc, Jean, and Lisa to lure in the Ruin Guard. The Ruin Guard spawned through a bounty, an activity where players fight enemies within an allotted time to earn reputation in a region. The bounty's area is shown within the Genshin Impact mini-map, and players must go to the highlighted area to engage with enemies listed in the bounty. In this user's case, the bounty area is located in close proximity to Harry's general location in Mondstadt.

Harry may be found within Stormbearer Point in the northeast portion of Mondstadt. The character usually walks on the main path along the hills of Stormbearer Point, so he's easy to find once the player reaches the area. Additionally, his exact location is close to the Stormbearer Point teleport waypoint. Harry is the only Knight of Favonius NPC that ventures into the Stormbearer Point area, and it's assumed that Outrider Amber from the Knights of Favonius has been to the area in the past.

Although Mondstadt did not receive any new content for quite some time in Genshin Impact, players seem to discover more about the region when revisiting it. Harry is relatively unimportant in Genshin Impact's main story and lore in Mondstadt, but the attention to detail placed onto the NPC is something to appreciate. Developer HoYoverse seems to value the thriving world of Teyvat, ensuring that NPCs may have their own unique qualities.

The newest region in Genshin Impact, Sumeru, could also contain some undiscovered secrets hidden in plain sight. Sumeru will expand its desert areas in future Genshin Impact updates, which means players will explore uncharted territory once more in the coming months.

Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
