Genshin Impact players have been complaining about a very frequent bug that involves one of the new characters, the Hydro user Nilou. Bugs are very common in the world of Teyvat and while most of them are harmless, some can ruin perfect runs in the Spiral Abyss.

Nilou is a part of the ongoing double banner that also features the popular Mondstadt alchemist, Albedo. Players who want to acquire these limited Genshin Impact characters have a couple of more days left as it's scheduled to expire on November 1.

An interesting post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit shared by Reddit user SweetilyVT shows a video of the new character Nilou not doing any damage with her elemental burst. This burst's full name is "Dance of Abzendegi: Distant Dreams, Listening Spring," and it allows her to deal a huge amount of AoE Hydro damage based on Nilou's max HP. It also applies an effect named Lingering Aeon which deals additional damage after a short period of time, similar to Mona's elemental burst. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that the bug is very frequent, and it already affected Spiral Abyss runs. Even though Nilou relies on her elemental skill for most of the work on the field, the burst still amounts to a large portion of her damage potential.

A video posted by Reddit user superquanganh is another example of Nilou's burst failing to do damage to Dvalin. Players say that it can be frustrating to see her burst dealing no damage after they applied numerous buffs to the character. However, some members of the community, especially players who didn't even pull for Nilou, are actually happy about this bug considering that they will likely receive a stash of compensation Primogems after HoYoverse resolves the issue.

Apart from the frequent bugs, players seem very happy about Nilou's overall power as recent data revealed that she is one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters in the Spiral Abyss. Her whole kit revolves around one of the new elemental reactions named Bloom which can be triggered by combining Hydro and Dendro. The Bloom team comp should consist of two Hydro and two Dendro characters.

There is a chance that this type of team composition could be changed to three Hydro users and one Dendro character with the upcoming release of the new Dendro Archon, Nahida. She will apparently have a much better Dendro application than the two current Dendro supports, Traveler and Collei. There is still no official information about her exact release date, but she is expected to arrive in the first part of Genshin Impact update 3.2.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
