Genshin Impact has officially revealed the character teaser for one of the upcoming additions, the famous Zubayr Theater dancer known as Nilou. The game has a very frequent update schedule and each new version of the game arrives approximately every 6-7 weeks.

With the Cyno and Venti banners coming to an end, a new set of limited characters is expected to arrive in a couple of days. After weeks of speculation, Genshin Impact's official YouTube channel finally released a new character teaser featuring the new Hydro user alongside some other characters from Sumeru.

She is a new Sumeru character known for her role at the Zubayr Theater located in the Grand Bazaar of Sumeru City. The previous live stream event for Genshin Impact update 3.1 has confirmed that Nilou is a new five-star Hydro sword character and the only new character in the second phase of version 3.1. Her role in a team composition is still sort of unclear, but players expect her to be new support or sub-DPS.

The majority of her kit revolves around a new Dendro elemental reaction named Bloom which can be triggered by combining Hydro and Dendro. This reaction will drop Dendro Cores which can explode after a couple of seconds. One of the main reasons why Nilou will be the go-to Hydro character for this type of elemental reaction is the fact that one of her passive talents, Court of Dancing Petals, turns the Dendro Cores into Bountiful Cores. These cores have a larger area of effect, and they explode much faster which allows more of them to be created.

The same passive also grants a significant Elemental Mastery buff which has become one of the main stats in the new Sumeru region. Her elemental skill allows her to enter a new fighting stance which will convert her attacks into Hydro damage. Nilou's elemental burst has a huge Hydro AoE effect, and it will apparently scale with her max. HP.

In order to use Nilou to her full potential, players will need to pair her with a good Dendro support and players already speculate that Nahida will be the perfect choice for the improved Bloom team composition. Nahida is expected to arrive on the first banner of Genshin Impact update 3.2 which is expected to arrive around November 7. Recent beta leaks have revealed that her Dendro application cannot be matched by any other character in the roster at the moment.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
