One Genshin Impact player has found a creative use for newly released character Nahida’s Elemental Skill, All Schemes to Know, turning the combat ability into a handy way to grab far-off items. Introduced in the leadup to Version 3.2, Nahida is a Dendro support character capable of dishing out damage to enemies while buffing allies.

Genshin Impact is an action RPG released by developer HoYoVerse in 2020 that quickly became a worldwide sensation with many gamers. Available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and mobile devices, Genshin Impact lets players take control of a party of four characters as they explore the world of Teyvat completing challenges, defeating bosses, and earning new equipment. HoYoVerse has released a steady stream of new playable characters, which can be unlocked either through gameplay or in-app purchases, and new regions to the game world since launch, ensuring players always have new content to explore. The current double banner with Nahida and Yoimiya just set a record for Genshin Impact’s highest first-day sales for the Chinese mobile market, showing just how eager fans are for new content for the hit game.

In a post on r/Genshin_Impact, Reddit user rm31439 shared a short clip showing how Nahida’s Elemental Skill, All Schemes to Know, can be used to grab far-away items. Holding down the skill button to enter aiming mode, rm31439 highlights a group of Ajilenakh Nuts before unleashing the skill and drawing in the items to be added to their inventory. In a game where players may need to gather literally hundreds of items in order to upgrade their character, this clever use of Nahida’s Elemental Skill could potentially save Genshin Impact players a lot of time and frustration.

Responses to the video were filled with a mixture of amusement and surprise, with many players noting that they had no idea Nahida’s Elemental Skill could be used in such a way. Some responses to the post pointed out other unusual uses of the ostensibly combat-focused All Schemes to Know skill, such as being able to read the minds of named Sumeru NPCs, which provides players with a single voiced line of the NPC’s inner thoughts. Players still hoping to add Nahida to their own roster can get a little help towards that goal by entering a new Genshin Impact redemption code for 60 free Primogems for a limited time, courtesy of HoYoVerse.

As gamers continue to explore all of the new content and secrets hidden in Version 3.2, Genshin Impact players are likely to find all sorts of creative tricks like this to make the game easier and more enjoyable. Although there has already been some controversy over graphic changes in Genshin Impact 3.2, the massive success of new characters like Nahida just one day into their release show that fans of the game are still excited to see what HoYoVerse has in store for them next.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
