A Genshin Impact player has found an unusual painting while exploring the vast world of Teyvat. This enormous continent is made of seven different nations that have their respective element and divine ideals. At the moment, only four of these regions are explorable: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru.

With such a vast world to explore, Genshin Impact players often encounter various glitches that can make the gaming experience even more interesting. However, some players also often stumble upon small very small details that HoYoverse intentionally added to the game.

An interesting post on the game's official subreddit shows a small detail that most players probably missed in their journey through Liyue. A screenshot shared by Reddit user Asaurus1 already gathered over 9k upvotes, and it shows a small slime painting that can be found on one of Liyue's cliffs. Slimes are common elemental lifeforms that can be found all over Teyvat, and they are created from condensed elemental energy. Many players in the comment section claim that the painting is probably HoYoverse's way to watermark their work and prevent others from using Genshin Impact's models in their own game. Some comments claim that similar paintings that include HoYoverse's logo can be found in many other locations.

The game's developer apparently uses the same tactic when trying to identify Genshin Impact leakers. Leaks and rumors have been a huge part of the game since its release back in 2020, and they can actually create tons of hype for new characters or regions even months before their official arrival. A couple of weeks ago, credible leakers have revealed the models for 10 upcoming Genshin Impact characters.

Most of these units will be tied with the next major region which is expected to be Fontaine. These leaks also reveal the potential appearance of the Hydro Archon Focalors who will be one of the main characters in Fontaine. However, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt since the next major update probably won't arrive until the end of Summer 2023.

A couple of comments have pointed out that it does not come as a surprise that the screenshot features the recently released Anemo user Wanderer since he is known for his exploration potential. His Elemental Skill, Hanega: Song of the Wind, allows Wanderer to fly high up in the air without wasting any stamina points in the process.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
