In Genshin Impact's new map location, Inazuma, players will have a whole slew of new quests to complete. In order to complete the quests on Yashiori Island, players will need to find some missing pieces of a broken ward.

The Broken Wards in Inazuma

Genshin Impact now has a quest chain called Orobashi's Legacy, which unlocks the Formation Estate. It requires players fix three Wards, and the first one is the focus of this article. Players need to find two missing pieces for an NPC name Kaji, who asks the player for help as they come into the region. Have a chat with this NPC to get the quest chain started.

Players of this free-to-play video game will have to listen to a long conversation with the NPC, and he will let players know that the very intense storm will not let up without the wards being fixed, but players will need to start with the closest one. It is located right behind Kaji's tent; it's a pillar that glows a soft purple color.

Interact with the Broken Ward

After chatting with Kaji, players need to head over to the Ward and interact with it. The ward seems to be begging the player to complete it, unlocking the next step of this quest.

Head north, looking for a big, glowing blue bubble. It's just to the north of Kaji's camp, and it appears on the map as an ivory-colored circle.

This dome is surrounded by enemies, and players will want to take them out quickly. This should be fairly easy for all Genshin Impact players with perfect rolls on artifacts and that are leveled and geared properly for the area.

Solving the Missing Piece of the Ward Puzzle

Unlike many of the more difficult puzzles in Genshin Impact like the pressure plate puzzle in the Dragonspine area, this one is fairly easy to complete. Players just need to point each of the pillars at the next pillar in order, starting with the pillar with the C-shaped top. The other three pillars will have rounded tops. Here are the four pillar locations:

The "Adjust Orientation" button on the pillars spins the whole pillar, while the "Adjust Elevation makes the pillar's top tilt up and down.

Spin the Southern-most, C-shaped, first pillar so the C is facing the second pillar, which is slightly to the north and east of the first. Tilt the second pillar down and facing the third pillar, which is slightly downhill and to the north of the second pillar. Continue to make the purple lines coming out of each of the pillars line up to the next pillar, then aim the final pillar at the big blue dome.

After that, hit the first C-shaped pillar with an attack to activate the beam and break the barrier.

Location of the Two Missing Ward Pieces

Players of one of the best mobile games of 2020 will find the first missing Ward piece is in the very center of where the dome was, floating in the center. After players grab it, they must fall down under where the dome was located; there will be a mini-boss waiting for them. Once defeated, look to the southern part of this little underground area, and look for another glowing gem on the ground.

This is the second Ward piece. Now players can return to the ward and complete it by giving both its pieces back.

After that, talk to Kaji and he will give players the next part of the quest. Complete the whole quest chain to unlock some free Genshin Impact rewards and make the island safe for workers once again.
