There are numerous mysteries to solve in Genshin Impact's Inazuma nation, and one of them is connected to a series of Lost Texts that are scattered across Yashiori Island. In total, there are four of these documents, and fans that read them all will be rewarded for their efforts. For those players that may be having some trouble finding one or more of the Lost Texts in Genshin Impact, full details on their locations can be found in what follows.

Before diving into exactly how to find all of the Lost Texts, it is worth clarifying that there is actually a fifth one pinned to a large rock on a small island southeast of Fort Mumei. This is actually the island where the aforementioned reward will spawn when the other four documents have been located, and Genshin Impact players that have stumbled across it already should plan to return later after working through this guide.

Genshin Impact: Lost Text Locations

genshin impact lost text locations

  1. The first Lost Text can be found on a small island just northwest of Fort Fujitou. To access it, players will need to solve a block puzzle by rotating the cubes so that the illuminated runes are all facing the same direction. When that is done, the barrier that was blocking the nearby tent will dissipate, and the Lost Text is on a crate within that tent.
  2. For the next document, Genshin Impact players should head to the shore just west of Higi Village. The Lost Text is sitting upon a rock amidst some books.
  3. Next, fans should look to the southwest of Musoujin Gorge. More specifically, they should locate a small brown three-pronged mark on their maps, which denotes a structure. The third Lost Text is on a crate at the southeast corner of that structure.
  4. For the final Lost Text, players should make their way to the marked road southwest of Serpent's Head in Genshin Impact. Fans will encounter a tent along this road, and the document is on a rock that protrudes from it.

After reading all four of these Lost Texts, which tell a sad story indeed, players should use Genshin Impact's Waverider to head to the location marked with a "C" on the map above. There they will find a small unmarked island , and a Luxurious Chest should appear upon approach. If that does not occur, fans are advised to try circling the island, both clockwise and counterclockwise, as that action seems to be forcing the chest to spawn for some players.

Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
