A new Genshin Impact leak reveals two new weapons which are expected to arrive in the next update 3.3. Weapons and artifact sets are the two most important parts of each character's build as they heavily impact their performance on the field. Unlike artifacts, weapons can be obtained by wishing on the game's limited weapon banner.

Each Genshin Impact update has at least two separate weapon banners, each of which includes two five-star and five four-star weapons that can be obtained by spending Acquaint Fates. Usually, one of the five-star items on the banner serves as the signature weapon for a new character that arrives in the same update.

A new thread on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows two brand-new weapons for update 3.3 which, going by HoYoverse's usual update schedule, the new update should arrive around December 4. The five-star catalyst is called Alaya, and it will serve as a signature weapon for the recently announced Anemo user named Wanderer. According to the leak, the weapon will have the following stats:

  • Weapon type: Catalyst
  • Base Attack: 674
  • Secondary stat: Crit Damage
  • Secondary stat max. value: 44.1%
  • Passive: Increases Normal Attack speed by 20%. After activating an Elemental Skill, the Normal Attack damage will get increased by 9.6% every second for 12s. If the character attacks an enemy with a Normal Attack during this effect, its damage will be increased by 19.2% up to 96% and this effect can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds.

Players who want to pull for Wanderer should definitely try to get this weapon as it will most likely take his damage potential to the next level. Alaya could also work well for another Anemo DPS character, Shikanoin Heizou, especially if players unlocked all of his constellation levels. The second weapon mentioned in the leak is a new sword called Kasabouzu, and it has the following stats:

  • Weapon type: Sword
  • Base Attack: 510
  • Secondary stat: Elemental Mastery
  • Secondary stat max. value: 165
  • Passive: Attacking an enemy will make them with an effect called Cursed Parasol which will cause the weapon used to deal 32% more damage to that target for 10 seconds. If the character leaves the field, this effect will stop.

The greatest thing about this weapon is probably the fact that it will be given out for free by completing a couple of events during Genshin Impact version 3.3. This four-star weapon will be a decent choice for two characters, Kazuha and Kuki Shinobu. Multiple fans in the comment section wonder when will HoYovese add a free DPS weapon that has Crit Damage or Crit Rate as its secondary stats.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
