Apart from the Traveler, each Genshin Impact character has the ability to control one element in the game. Out of the seven different elements, Dendro is the only one that is still not a part of a character's kit.
However, with the whole Inazuma storyline coming to an end, Genshin Impact players expect the new region Sumeru to finally introduce the long-awaited Dendro element. A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more possible information about one of the upcoming characters that should arrive in the foreseeable future.
A new Genshin Impact leaker named hxg_diluc reveals a couple of potential details about a new character named Su, who is expected to join the playable roster once the new major Genshin Impact region arrives. Su will apparently be an Expy based on the eponymous character from HoYoverse's other game, Honkai Impact 3rd, where he serves as a secondary character in the Second Key manga. This would not be the first time Genshin Impact added characters based on Honkai, with popular characters like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko being prime examples. According to hxl_diluc, Su will be able to control the upcoming Dendro element.
The leaker also reveals that Su will have a very high-ranking position in the upcoming major region, and he will be very close to the popular Dendro Archon. Another popular Genshin Impact leaker named SpendYourPrimos has given more information about Su's appearance. They have retweeted one of hxg_diluc's posts, claiming that Su's design displayed in the tweet is fairly accurate.
There is already a lot of hype around this character, especially considering that he will be using the new Dendro element. There are still no leaks about his release date, but players expect him to appear on a banner in the next three to four updates. Su will probably not be a part of the first Sumeru update considering that leaks have been mentioning a couple of other characters for months. One of those characters is Collei, who has made an appearance in the Genshin Impact manga. According to the manga, even though Collei does not possess a Vision, she still has unnatural elemental powers.
Another character that will most likely arrive in the game shortly after Sumeru is the region's Dendro Archon, also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali or God of Wisdom. Multiple rumors have been hinting that Genshin Impact Version 2.8 is the last update in the Inazuma arc, which means that the new major region could arrive in the next two or three months.
