Developers at miHoYo are getting ready to release Genshin Impact update 2.1, and a recent leak shows a glimpse at what fans can expect. This leak shows new looks for Baal, Kokomi, and Kujou Sara.

Recently posted to Twitter by a user known as Lumie_lumie, this recent leak shows Genshin Impact update 2.1's party members. These characters will join the fight when the new update releases on September 1. Baal is an Electro Arcon who utilizes polearms to defeat her enemies. Sara also has Electro elemental powers, but her weapon of choice is the bow. Finally, Kokomi uses Hydro elemental powers and a Catalyst.

Genshin Impact fans will have loads of new content to appreciate with update 2.1, and these new characters will give players more party members to choose from. Genshin Impact players are already familiar with these characters, but they'll now be able to join their party. Because Genshin Impact fans will be able to select Baal, Kokomi, and Kujou Sara for their party with update 2.1, the characters have also received new animations. The recent leak merely shows the characters in a stationary position, though, so Genshin Impact players may have to wait until the release of the new update to see the new animations. Each character will bring their own unique charm, style, and abilities to the party.

Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy is coming to Genshin Impact with version 2.1, too, bringing with her some new challenges for players to complete. Genshin Impact fans on PlayStation will have only until October 13 to get Aloy. Fans playing the MMO on PC and mobile will be able to unlock the character between October 13 and November 24. Unlike Baal, Kokomi, and Kujou Sara, Aloy will be unlocked through the in-game mailing system. Fans on PlayStation will be particularly eager to add this character to the roster because of her four-star bow that rewards her with a special buff. With the addition of all four characters to update 2.1, Genshin Impact fans will have plenty of option when exploring the world of Teyvat.

The Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact update 2.1 is expected to release shortly after the update rolls out to other platforms. The one Genshin Impact character that was omitted from the leak that's expected for update 2.1 is Raiden, making fans wonder why her stationary model was left out. Other fans in response to Lumie_lumie are simply looking for more information on Thoma and Gorou.

One Genshin Impact player pointed out to Lumie_lumie that the characters releasing with update 2.1 basically make it a waifu update. Fans of Baal, Kokomi, and Kujou Sara celebrated the new characters featured in the leak, showing the anticipation for update 2.1. Several Genshin Impact players responding to Lumie_lumie speculate that their wallets will be emptied with the release of update 2.1, too.

Genshin Impact is available right now for mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5.
