Genshin Impact's world, Teyvat, is divided into seven main nations and each of them has its symbolic element. After Genshin Impact update 2.0 started the Inazuma saga, it's time for the Traveler to take his adventure to a new major region.

Elements are a core part of Genshin Impact, and combining different elements makes a world of a difference in the game's combat system. The new major update will apparently bring a brand-new element that will surely shake up the current meta. A couple of leaks have revealed that some elements will thrive in the new environment while others could become less effective.

Numerous rumors already claim that the new nation to be added is Sumeru, the home of the Dendro Archon. A recent leak on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that the Anemo Archon Venti will be even more useful in this new region. According to the leak, the whole Anemo squad except the DPS characters will become much more valuable in the new region. Since his release back in 2020, Venti has always been one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters. He is still considered an S-tier support with one of the strongest Elemental Bursts in the game.

Venti is a part of the current Genshin Impact 2.6 double banner, and players who want to add him to the roster should do it as soon as possible, considering that the limited banner ends in a couple of days. However, the leak also revealed that his Archon colleague Zhongli won't be as useful in the new major update.

The leak claims that his power won't be gutted, but he won't be as applicable as some other characters, which will probably have something to do with the new Dendro element that will arrive. Previous Genshin Impact leaks have already revealed that both Geo and Anemo won't have a great synergy with the new element. According to the leak, the two best performing Dendro elemental reactions will be Electro and Pyro.

When it comes to Sumeru's official release date, there is still no official information. Assuming that Genshin Impact Version 2.8 is the last update of the Inazuma Arc, we can expect 3.0 and Sumeru to arrive around mid-August this year. The whole Inazuma story has taken the Genshin Impact journey to the next level, and the majority of the fans would probably be satisfied if Sumeru delivers the same amount of content.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
