The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has officially confirmed the arrival of a new character named Kamisato Ayato, the head of the Kamisato clan. Character leaks are a more common occurrence in Genshin Impact these days, typically helping to create a lot of hype for these upcoming roster additions months before their official release. This was the case with Ayato's whose cause an eruption of excitement when his voice was teased in the official trailer for Arataki Itto who was released back in Genshin Impact update 2.3.

However, it seems as though Ayato won't be the only new character to arrive in the upcoming update 2.6 as multiple leaks reveal another Hydro vision holder named Yelan. The current beta phase has no data about her abilities which means that she could appear in a quest before joining the playable roster in one of the following updates. A recent post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit apparently shows a detailed image of Yelan's in-game model.

Even though the beta leaks didn't give much information about her kit, she's heavily rumored to be a Hydro bow user which will make her the second character to have this combination after Tartaglia. There is no information about her role in a team composition but considering that there have been a lot DPS or sub-DPS characters in the last couple of updates, she could be new Genshin Impact support character.

As mentioned before she could be the second Hydro character to be released in the foreseeable future as multiple beta leaks confirm Ayato's presence in the playable roster for Genshin Impact update 2.6. Ayato's ascension attribute will apparently be Crit damage meaning that he will most likely be a strong Genshin Impact DPS character.

Ayato is the only character officially announced for update 2.6 which means that Yelan will most likely appear on a limited character banner in update 2.7. There will most likely be another four-star character released alongside her and credible leaks claim that it will be the mysterious Kuki Shinobu. Genshin Impact's Arataki Itto describes Kuki in his voice line as an exception among other gang members since she often stands up against him and questions his leadership. Nonetheless, she would occasionally help Itto to get out of any mess he would find himself in.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
