Each Genshin Impact update features at least two banner cycles which feature one or two five-star characters and three four-star characters. Developer HoYoverse has introduced an interesting pattern of pairing one new character with a re-run for at least one of the banners.
The current Tapestry of Golden Flames limited character banner has introduced the first re-run for the popular five-star Pyro bow user, Yoimiya. Even though previous rumors have been hinting that update 3.0 might be spread over three parts, Genshin Impact's recent livestream event for Genshin Impact Version 3.0 has confirmed that the update will be divided into two banner cycles as per usual.
The live stream also confirmed that the first part of the update will feature a double banner that will include two characters: the new Dendro user Tighnari and the famous Geo Archon Zhongli. A popular Genshin Impact leaker named GenshinBLANK has given more information about the three four-star characters that will arrive in the first part of the update. According to the leak, the first banner for Genshin Impact will feature the following characters:
- Tighnari - five-star Dendro bow character
- Zhongli - five-star Geo polearm character
- Collei - four-star Dendro bow character
- Fischl - four-star Electro bow character
- Diona - four-star Cryo bow character
Assuming the leak is true, this would be the first time developer HoYoverse has put four different bow users on the same banner. The only new four-star character is Collei, and she will also be obtainable for free during Gensihn Impact Version 3.0 events. According to recent beta leaks, Collei will be a support character whose kit is very reminiscent of the popular Pyro bow user Amber. The game's manga has confirmed that Amber and Collei are very good friends in the official story.
Fischl is considered one of the best supports in Genshin Impact due to her ability to constantly deal Electro damage even when she's not on the field. According to recent leaks, Electro will become much more viable in the upcoming updates due to the new Dendro Elemental Reactions which means that Fischl could become even stronger.
A number of replies in the comment section claim that the only reason they will spend Primogems on the banner will be to acquire Fischl, especially considering that she doesn't get featured on too many banners. The third four-star character, Diona, is a decent choice for players who lack a strong healer in their team composition. Her healing is tied with her elemental burst, Signature Mix, which allows Diona to create an AoE effect that deals Cryo damage and grants decent healing.
