Genshin Impact updates usually bring loads of content which include new characters, events and regions to be explored. The ongoing Genshin Impact Version 2.6 has brought a brand-new region named Chasm, as well as a new character named Kamisato Ayato.
Even though the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 2.7 is yet to arrive, the game's official social media accounts have confirmed the new character that will arrive in update 2.8, and his name is Shikanoin Heizou.
The beta for Genshin Impact Version 2.8 has officially arrived and there are already multiple leaks about one of the new characters, Shikanoin Heizou. A credible Genshin Impact leaker named Dimbreath has revealed Heizou's Elemental Skill and Burst descriptions.
- Elemental Skill: Heartstopper Strike - Tapping this ability will allow Heizou to launch a Heartstopper Strike dealing Anemo damage. Holding this skill willl make Heizou charge energy before unleashing an even stronger attack. This version of the ability will grant the character the Declension effect while charging which increases the power of his strike.
- Declension effect increases the power of his next Heartstopper Strike, and it can stack up to four times. Once Heizou gathers four stacks, his next elemental skill will be much stronger and have a larger AoE.
- Elemental Burst: Windmuster Kick - this skill makes Heizou leak into the air and kick his opponents dealing Anemo AoE damage. If this ability hits enemies that are affected by Hydro, Cryo, Pyro or Electro, they will be afflicted with Winndmuster Iris which will cause an AoE explosion. This effect can be applied to a maximum of four opponents
According to multiple voice lines in the game, Shikanoin Heizou is a popular detective who works for the famous Tenryou Commission. His unique way of investigating is effective, but it often lands him in serious trouble. The game's official Twitter account has confirmed that Heizou is a new Anemo character in Genshin Impact. Even though he was previously rumored to be the first Dendro vision holder, it seems as though developer HoYoverse decided to equip him with the Anemo element.
When it comes to his rarity, there is still no official information. However, multiple leaks claim that he will be a new four-star character. Considering the timing of his announcement, Heizou will most likely be a part of Genshin Impact Version 2.8, which is rumored to be the last update of Genshin Impact's current Inazuma arc. Multiple leaks have also revealed that Heizou will have one of, if not the smallest, teen models in the game.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
