The world of Genshin Impact keeps expending with almost every new version of the game. The upcoming update 2.8 will apparently introduce the long-awaited Golden Apple Archipelago event along with its multiple islands.

While there is a lot of hype about the event, players seem to be more excited about the arrival of the new major region named Sumeru, which is expected to drop after 2.8 and during Genshin Impact Version 3.0. The most exciting thing about Sumeru is the fact that it will finally introduce the mysterious Dendro element. A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about the upcoming Dendro version of the game's main character.

Popular Genshin Impact leaker Lumie has posted an interesting video showing the design of the upcoming Dendro Traveler. The Traveler is the main character in Genshin Impact and players have the option to choose between Aether and Lumine at the start of their journey. Whichever character is chosen, the main goal of the story will be to find the other sibling. Each region in Genshin Impact has its representative element which can be equipped by the Traveler. So far the game has introduced three major regions: Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, meaning that Aether or Lumine can be equipped with the Anemo, Geo, or Electro element.

The video displays Lumine equipped with the Dendro element which should arrive in one of the upcoming updates. As shown in the video, the new Traveler will have a unique swapping animation that suits the Dendro element, as well as a unique character screen color. This leak is yet more proof that the arrival of the new element is just around the corner.

WIth each new element, the Traveler also receives another set of skills, talents and constellations. While there are still no credible leaks about the Dendro Traveler skills, players expect the new kit to have a supportive role. The arrival of a new element will have a significant impact on the current character meta in Genshin Impact considering that the game's combat mechanics are heavily based on combining different elements.

Previous Genshin Impact leaks have already been hinting at two new Dendro elemental reactions: Intensified and Overgrown. Intensified can be triggered by combining Electro with Dendro, and it will grant a significant damage buff against the target affected by this elemental reaction. Overgrown will cause explosive seeds to drop on the ground when Dendro and Hydro are combined.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
