New Genshin Impact characters arrive with almost every new update, and they are usually the main thing most players are waiting for. They soon may have new cosmetic options to look forward to as well.

Developers at miHoYo may be working on a couple of Mondstadt themed skins for Genshin Impact characters according to multiple leaks. The new skins are expected to arrive in the foreseeable future.

A very credible Genshin Impact laker by the name Ubatcha1 has apparently revealed more information about future updates. Apparently, the updates that will arrive after 2.4 will most likely bring additional skins tied with the region of Mondstadt. Fans already know that 2.4 will bring the Lantern Rite event which is Liyue-themed, meaning that 2.5 could bring Mondstadt back into the spotlight, as was the case with updates 1.3 and 1.4 this year.

Another leaker, Genshin Intel, has already that Genshin Impact update 2.4 will bring two brand new skins for popular characters Ningguang and Keqing. Ninguang's skin is named Orchid's Evening Gown and it will be available for free by completing event quests. Players will apparently need to spend Genesis Crystals in order to Acquire Keqing's Opulent Splendor skin. The addition of new skins in update 2.4 would be the second time for miHoYo to bring new characters cosmetics to the game.

Back in update 1.6, The Midsummer Island Adventure brought new skins for Barbara and Jean. Barbara's skin was also obtainable for free just for the duration of the event and it's currently purchasable in the in-game shop for 1680 Genesis Crystals. The majority of Genshin Impact updates bring new characters, events, and enemies. The addition of new playable characters are usually the focal point of each new update, however, adding new enemies has proven to be just as exciting, especially if they have an interesting story like the Azhdaha weekly boss.

A recent tweet by another leaker has revealed the model for a new long-awaited boss. Osial, also known as the Oceanic Defender, has brought one of the most epic story boss fights so far in the game. The five-head monster was taken down by a familiar Liyue squad after Tartaglia broke the legendary seal. Many players were expecting Osial to be gone for good after it got crushed by Ningguang's Jade Chamber, but it seems like miHoYo decided to awake the beast once again.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
