A new Genshin Impact leak has finally revealed the release date of the Special Program event for update 3.2. The game runs on a very tight update schedule which allows HoYoverse to constantly introduce new characters, weapons, and regions to the world of Teyvat.

The first three Sumeru updates have their duration reduced in order for the Genshin Impact to get back on its usual update schedule after it was disrupted by the three-week delay that occurred during version 2.6. A big part of the community claims that HoYoverse should keep this new update schedule claiming that the last week of each version of the game seems redundant as it almost never introduced new pieces of content.

According to a recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, the livestream event for version 3.2 will air on October 23 and the game has previously confirmed that the new update will arrive on November 2. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed two new characters for the update, the long-awaited Dendro Archon Nahida and a fairly unknown character named Layla. Both characters are expected to be featured on the first part of the update. The new Archon will most likely be one of the strongest characters in the game and recent leaks have revealed that she already received a couple of buffs in the current 3.2 beta phase.

According to various leaks, she will be a new Dendro support in Genshin Impact which cGenshould make her a crucial part of most types of team compositions that revolve around the new element. Nahida will have an excellent Dendro application which is currently missing in the playable roster as players have to rely on the four-star character Collei and the Traveler in their Dendro team comps.

Just like the three previous Archons, Nahida's kit is very flexible, and she will have the ability to adapt to most parties. The enormous field created by Nahida's elemental burst will react differently when exposed to Pyro, Hydro, or Electro. Unlike Nahida, Layla is expected to have a lower four-star rarity which could mean that they will be placed on the same banner.

The official story revealed that Layla is a Rtawahist student which is one of the six main schools in Sumeru. When it comes to her power on the battlefield, beta leaks have confirmed that she will be a new Cryo support. Her play style will apparently be very similar to another four-star Cryo support named Diona who has been a part of the roster for a very long time.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
