With the Invitation to Windblume event coming to a conclusion, players have already begun thinking about what's next for Genshin Impact. Fans may be excited to hear that leaks have revealed a resource, known as Transient Resin, which will give players an additional opportunity to replenish Resin.

While the game's developer, miHoYo, does its best to keep information under wraps, a couple of leaks speak of surprising and exciting things coming to Genshin Impact. While previous rumors included new characters expected to make an appearance, this reveal explains how Transient Resin addresses one of the most frustrating parts of leveling up in the game, Original Resin deficiency.

In Genshin Impact, players obtain a regenerating resource known as Original Resin, which is used to collect rewards from the boss battle challenges including the Weekly Boss Battles (such as Stormterror/Dvalin and Lupus Boreas/The Wolf of the North), Elite Bosses, the Abyssal Domains, and Ley Line. These rewards can be used to obtain materials needed to ascend and level up characters, upgrade weapons, and gain new artifacts.

After it's been used up, rather than waiting for it to slowly regenerate, players can replenish their Original Resin supply by either using Fragile Resin (which restores 60 Original Resin) or using Primogems to buy a limited amount of Original Resin per day. Primogems can be earned in-game or through real-life transactions. They are also used to wish for higher-level characters, as well as purchasing weapons and materials. So one could see the struggles of farming for this stuff.

According to the leak, Genshin Impact players will be able to purchase and consume Transient Resin in order to collect 60 additional Original Resin. This new material will unlock after players reach level 6 Trust Rank, another addition to the game that can be increased through crafting decorations with the upcoming Housing System.

As of now, it is predicted that Transient Resin will cost 1200 Realm Currency, yet another new addition set to enter the game. The frequency at which a player can purchase Transient Resin is still up in the air, with some sources saying it can be bought once every two days and others claiming once a week. After it has been consumed, it will dissipate over time.

As with all unofficial disclosures, this information should be taken lightly and not as absolute truth as of yet. Many previous leak sources have made predictions that turned out to be false. It is also possible that the developer could alter the rules regarding how the material functions or even how it's used. So, for now, we will not know for sure until miHoYo makes an official release or statement. That said, seeing what possible updates are in store for the game definitely helps to excite current players and perhaps attract new ones to the community.

Genshin Impact is available for iOS and Android devices, PC, and PS4. A version for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch are currently in development but are expected to launch sometime this year.
