Genshin Impact updates consistently bring new additions to the playable roster as well as a couple of new weapons to the game. New five-star weapons can be obtained by wishing on the game's Limited Weapon Banner, though four-star weapons can be useful.
Each new version Genshin Impact usually allows players to get a decent four-star weapon for free by finishing a quest line that is tied to that specific update. A popular Twitter account by the name genshinmains has shared more information about a new four-star weapon that will arrive in the upcoming update.
The new polearm is apparently named Shifting Windblade, and it will be obtainable for free by finishing a couple of the quests that will be featured in one of the Genshin Impact Version 3.1 events. According to the leak, the Shifting Windblade will have the following stats.
- Weapon Type: Polearm
- Base Attack: 510
- Secondary stat: Attack percentage
- Secondary stat max. value: 44.3%
- Passive: Triggering an Elemental reaction will increase Attack by 10% - 20% and Elemental Mastery by 40-80 (based on the weapon's refinement level. The effect will last for 10 seconds.
The weapon will be a great choice for characters that rely on having tons of Attack and Elemental Mastery, such as the recently announced five-star character Cyno. Even though Cyno will receive his own five-star signature weapon, the Shifting Windblade will be a great budget choice, especially if players get the option to increase its refinement level for free. Previous leaks have revealed that a big part of Cyno's damage potential will revolve around having tons of Elemental Mastery.
Cyno's Elemental Burst is very reminiscent of the popular four-star character Razor, and a big part of the community considers him to be a stronger five-star version of the Electro claymore user. Fans seem overall happy with the new four-star weapon, as it will be the first free polearm that can be used by DPS characters in Genshin Impact. The new update will also introduce two additional five-star weapons.
The upcoming Genshin Impact update will also introduce two additional five-star weapons that will serve as the signature weapons for Cyno and a new Hydro sword user named Nilou. Cyno's polearm is named Staff of the Scarlet Sands, and it's a great choice for every DPS character who relies on Attack, Crit Rate, and Elemental Mastery. Nilou's sword is called Key of Hierophany and besides the high base damage, it will significantly increase the weapon holder's HP.
Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
