A new Genshin Impact video taken from the first beta test apparently shows an interesting city model that could be part of the upcoming Fontaine region. The game's world is divided into seven different major regions, which are spread all over the continent known as Teyvat.

After Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, the most recent Genshin Impact major update introduced another nation to the game named Sumeru. Even though players are yet to experience all of Sumeru's parts, it seems like there is already more information about a new region, which is rumored to arrive in approximately 10 months.

A new video posted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit apparently reveals a rough model of one of the cities in Fontaine. The most interesting thing about the city shown in the video is the fact that it's attached to a vertical wall, which led many players to believe that it could be sticking out of a waterfall. This would make sense considering that the official storyline already confirmed that Hydro is Fontaine's representative element. Some fans have started theorizing that the city could be separated into an upper part where the nobles would live and an underground level where the rest would be located, similar to Piltover and Zaun from League of Legends lore.

The leaker called this model "Steampunk City," meaning that the whole region could have a steampunk theme, which also fits the Hydro part of the story since steam is water. Players are already hoping to see a new Genshin Impact character whose kit revolves around using steam. Even though the release of Fontaine is still months away, many fans deem this leak to be accurate since the first Sumeru model leaks started to appear around the same time last year.

When it comes to its location, credible leakers have revealed that Fontaine is located north of the Sumeru region and it should be connected to Liyue. While the region seems to value justice over all else, it's also known for its devotion to technology. Every region in the game represents a real-life place, and rumors have been hinting that Fontaine is based on France.

The only confirmed playable characters from this region are the popular duo Lyney and Lynette, who were featured in one of Genshin Impact's trailers. The Hydro Archon, also known as the God of Justice, will also probably join the playable roster in the future. There is not a lot of information about this character other than that he will serve as the protector of Fontaine.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
