A new Genshin Impact leak reveals more information about a new character named Wriothesley who is expected to arrive in the upcoming months. The character roster is HoYoverse's main source of revenue which is one of the main reasons why the game keeps expanding its pool of playable units with every new update.Over the last couple of months, each Genshin Impact update has introduced two or three new characters with the five-star Pyro user Dehya being the most recent addition. The character's name is Wriothesley, but some leakers claim that this could just be a placeholder that can be changed in the future, similar to the recently revealed character Kirara. The first couple of leaks were hinting that her name is Momoka, and she was rumored to be a Geo character from Inazuma before more credible leakers revealed her real name and Vision. There is no information about his release date, but players expect Wriothesley to arrive in the first Fontaine update which should drop during August 2023.
Even though he was not part of the recently leaked Genshin Impact character lineup that showed 10 upcoming playable units, leakers suspect that Wriothesley will still be one of the first characters from the next major region. Fontaine is known as the Hydro nation which is why players expect it to be filled with numerous rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. The first model of Fontaine hints that its main city could be attached to a vertical platform.
While there is a lot of hype about the next Archon Chapter, Travelers will still have to wait for a couple of months to step foot into the next major nation. Some rumors even claim that Fontaine won't arrive before Mondstadt receives a new map expansion. Its current version apparently represents only around 60% of the whole region.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
