Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about one of the most popular upcoming characters, the Dendro Archon Nahida. At the moment, she is a quest-exclusive NPC who plays one of the most important roles in the current Sumeru storyline.

Even though Genshin Impact is yet to officially confirm Nahida as a playable character, it's safe to say that she will be joining the roster in the foreseeable future. Just like all the other playable Archons, Nahida is expected to be a very powerful unit with the ability to fit multiple types of team compositions.

According to a credible leaker named hxg_diluc, Nahida will apparently be a new Genshin Impact support, at least when she has no constellations leveled up. She is the new Dendro Archon who serves as the protector of the recently released Sumeru region. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that she will probably be a must-have character for players who want their team composition to revolve around one of the new Dendro elemental reactions. The new Dendro Archon is design-vise much different from all the other Archons as she has a smaller child-like model. This could be due to the fact that the official Genshin Impact story confirmed that Nahida is way younger than her Archon colleagues.

Previous Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that Nahida's elemental skill will apparently have a hold and press variation similar to Zhongli's Dominus Lapidis which can generate one of the strongest shields in the game as well as spawn a resonating pillar. She will apparently be able to move while casting her elemental skill which could make her playstyle much more dynamic in comparison to most supports in the game.

At the moment, players have to rely on the four-star character Collei and the new version of the Traveler for applying AoE Dendro effects on the battlefield. Even though the game already introduced a new five-star Dendro character named Tighnari, he is actually much weaker when it comes to Dendro application compared to the two other Dendro characters, despite having a higher rarity.

Although Genshin Impact usually introduces new Archons one update after a new major region arrives, recent character announcements for update 3.1 have confirmed that HoYoverse will break that pattern in Sumeru. According to multiple leakers, Nahida is expected to arrive in Genshin Impact update 3.2 which should arrive at the start of November.

Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
