The upcoming Genshin Impact Version 3.0 will finally add a new main nation to the game named Sumeru. The new major update will also introduce the game's first Dendro characters: Tighnari and Collei.

The addition of a new element will have a significant impact on the game considering that Genshin Impact's combat system relies on triggering various elemental reactions. A video leak reveals a new type of team composition that focuses on one of the upcoming Dendro elemental reactions named Aggravate.

In order to trigger this elemental reaction, players first have to apply Catalyze by combining Dendro and Electro. Dealing Pyro elemental damage to a Catalyzed target will trigger another reaction named Quicken and applying additional Electro to the target will finally cause the Aggravate reaction. This new Genshin Impact elemental reaction will grant increased damage to the Electro character, which is Keqing in the video. In theory, this seems like one of the hardest elemental reactions to apply on the battlefield but according to the video and numerous comments below, it's actually quite easy if the right team composition is deployed.

The party in the video features four different characters: Keqing, Fischl, Bennett, and Dendro Traveler. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that this elemental reaction could bring Electro DPS characters like Keqing back into the meta. Even though she was once considered one of the best DPS units in Genshin Impact, the majority of players have replaced her with a stronger damage dealer, mostly due to the fact that Electro is unable to trigger the strongest elemental reactions in the game.

This is another proof that the new Dendro element will most likely completely shift the whole Genshin Impact character meta. It has the potential to become one of the best elements in the game and a must-have for every team composition due to its great synergy with almost every other element in the game. The video also shows that the new Dendro version of the Traveler seems like a decent choice for applying the new Dendro element on the field.

Previous leaks have revealed more information about the Traveler's new Dendro kit. Aether's and Lumine's elemental skills will allow them to strike with their blade dealing a decent amount of Dendro damage in front of them. The new elemental burst will create a Lea Lotus Lamp which deals continuous Dendro damage within a large area. The new burst will probably be the main reason for players to have the new Dendro Traveler in their party.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
