A new Genshin Impact leak has apparently revealed the appearance of 10 different characters who belong to the next major region which is expected to be Fontaine. This will be the fifth main nation to arrive to the world of Teyvat after Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and the recently added Sumeru.
Genshin Impact leaks are very common in the community, and they create hype for new roster additions even months before there is any official information about them. For example, one of the upcoming characters for update 3.4 named Yaoyao had her model leaked in early 2021 since she was part of the original beta phase.
A new post on the official Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed 10 character models who are expected to become part of the playable roster in the future. The only officially confirmed characters are probably Lynette and Lyney (1st and 7th from the left) who were part of the game's official story trailer videos. As usual, the region will also introduce a new Genshin Impact Archon, who will probably serve as its main protector. According to credible leakers, her name is Focalors, and she is placed 3rd from the left in the post. The official storyline has confirmed that Fontaine's Archon is also known as the God of Justice.
Her design fits the previously leaked Archon description which claimed that she is apparently based on a Honkai Impact 3rd character named Seele. This would not be the first time Genshin Impact borrowed their character designs from HoYoverse's second most popular title as many playable units like Raiden Shogun, Noelle, Yae Miko, and many others have their respective counterparts in the other game.
Fontaine's symbolic element is Hydro which means that the new Focalors will be the new Hydro Archon. There is not a lot of official information about this unique region that seems to value justice and technology over everything else. Recent leaks have revealed Fontaine's model that was part of the original beta which showed that the main city of the new region could be attached to a vertical platform.
When it comes to Fontaine's location, the nation is expected to be placed west of Liyue and north of the new Sumeru region. Fans expect it to be filled with lakes and waterfalls since it's known as the home of the Hydro Archon. This was also hinted at in a recent artifact description which revealed that the Geo nation has another port besides Liyue Harbor, that could be placed on the western part of the region.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
