The Lantern Rite event has brought quite a few new activities to Genshin Impact for fans to celebrate the in-game ceremony and earn limited time rewards. However, some players have found some interesting stats from the more hidden aspects of the Lantern Rite Festival, including a massive attribute bonus that one specific character gets when joining the party.

This is specifically concerning Genshin Impact's playable character Keqing, who is can normally be found through the random wish system, but has been added as a temporary ally for the Lantern Rite Festival. A large part of this status change comes from the specific build that the character has during the event, but it is still an impressive attribute that she is able to reach thanks to this developer designed setup.

The stat in question that fans have found to be so drastically improved is the character's critical hit rate, which is bumped all the way up to 101.2% as a result of this developer created build for Keqing. This translates to every single attack the character does essentially being a critical hit, as the stat in Genshin Impact is a representation of the chance an attack will be a critical one. Combine this with the Lantern Rite Festival version of Keqing also having a critical damage multiplier of 130.3% and all of her attacks will essentially be doing double the normal damage they would be doing otherwise.

This increase in critical hit rate and damage does come with some minor setbacks as well, as has been discussed by some of the fans who first pointed it out on Reddit. While this build does allow for impressive critical percentages, it is also missing out on elemental damage increases that are a huge part of version of Genshin Impact's Keqing that follows the meta perfectly. So, this isn't exactly the build that players may have made if they had unlimited access to resources, even if it does offer some other impressive stats.

While the build might not be perfect, the Lantern Rite Festival might be the best time for players that don't have the character yet to give Keqing a try with these impressive new attributes. Some players might find that this could lead them to a build of their own that they might want to follow for the character if they ever draw her in the future. For now, players can check out everything that MiHoYo has brought to this year's Lantern Rite Festival in update 2.4 including this critical boosted Keqing.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
