A Genshin Impact fan reveals the location of each playable character during the ongoing Lantern Rite Festival that arrived with update 3.4. This is an annual event in the game that celebrates the Lunar New Year, and it's always held in the Liyue region.

Genshin Impact's Lantern Rite Festival is filled with a lot of new content which includes various rewards such as Primogems that allow players to pull for new characters and weapons. In order to get these rewards, players need to finish all the event-exclusive quests as the festival is scheduled to end around February 6.

During this time, the characters that hail from Liyue can be seen either preparing for the festival or just enjoying their time. Either way, if players travel around the Geo nation, they can find many of them in various unusual places and engage in interesting dialogue. A Reddit user by the name of Shadoow3_CRO has posted a map that reveals the exact location of each of these characters. According to the post, most characters can be found in the region's main city, also known as Liyue Harbor. However, some characters like Yanfei, Yaoyao, and even Madame Ping, are located in Qingce Village, a small town in the northern part of the Geo nation.

Some players were surprised to see Venti and Kazuha tied with the Lantern Rite Festival considering that they are not from Liyue. However, Genshin Impact's recent promotional video named Dream Upon a Lantern shows that HoYoverse brought every character from the roster to Liyue to celebrate Lantern Rite. This festival also allowed players to choose between nine different Genshin Impact four-star characters including the new Dendro user Yaoyao who has been rumored to join the game since 2020.

Yaoyao is an interesting character with a very chaotic play style that allows constant Dendro application. While she might not be the best healer in the game, Yaoyao is still very flexible, and she can fit most team comps in Genshin Impact at the moment. Players need to focus on building as much HP as possible with this four-star unit since her healing potential scales with max. HP.

She was not the only Dendro character to arrive to the game in this update as a new limited five-star unit named Alhaitham also joined the roster. He is the second Dendro DPS character in the game after Tighnari who arrived back in Genshin Impact update 3.0.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
