As Genshin Impact players explore the newest section of the map of Teyvat, the Dragonspine, they will come across a variety of new quests in the area. One of the more difficult of these quests is the Land Entombed World Quest, which was added in update 1.2 of Genshin Impact.
The Dangers of Dragonspine
Note that this quest is located deep in the icy mountains of Dragonspine, where the weather will slowly but surely kill any adventurers not ready for it. Players will want to be ready to grab up all the Scarlet Quartz, make a Genshin Impact Warming Bottle, or find bonfires around the area to prevent taking damage from the Sheer Cold status that will freeze everything in the Dragonspine area.
Starting the World Quest A Land Entombed
In order to start the quest, players just have to find one of the journals hidden in Genshin Impact's freezing Dragonspine. There are three total books, and any one of them will trigger the beginning of this world quest. Once players find one, it will prompt them to return to the adventurers camp at the entrance of Dragonspine. There, players will need to look for an NPC named Stevens, who will challenge them to find the other two book locations.
Finding the First Ancient Investigation Journal
Teleport to Dragonspine's Statue of the Seven. Head south and fall down off of the rounded ruins toward the control panel. Continue to head south and look for a control panel than has been locked. There will be a treasure chest hidden a few feet in front of it. This contains the first journal to start the Land Entombed quest chain. It will prompt players to head to Stevens in the Adventure's Camp.
Finding the Second Ancient Investigation Journal
The second journal is located in Genshin Impact's Starglow Cavern again, but further south than the first one. If players zoom in on the map closely enough, they can see that there is a square, pool-looking object to the south of the Cavern. This is the site of the second book which is buried under two difficult puzzles.
The first puzzle involves startling to fire Seelie in the right directions to light all four pillars and melt the square pool of ice. Scare the first Seelie and the second Seelie in the same direction to solve this puzzle.
The second puzzle also involves startling fire Seelie in a circle in order to also light all of the pillars on fire. Chase each of the three Seelie in the same direction at equal intervals to solve the puzzle. At this point, a stone golem will awaken from the corner of the pool, and players will have to defeat it in order to grab the loot, money, and the Journal hidden behind where the golem was sitting.
Finding the Third Ancient Investigation Journal
The last of the journals is located again in the Starglow Cavern. Head down into the caverns and look for a breakable ice wall. There will be several bookcases, a locked treasure chest, and some other items strewn around the room. This is the South Base Camp in Dragonspine, and it will have the last journal, written by someone who had obviously been studying the area. Bring it back to Stevens to complete the quest.
