Genshin Impact's Five Flushes of Fortune event is now live, and it centers around a new item called the Kurious Kamera. More specifically, players are to use this special device to make photos of a variety of different colors, and those that do will receive Primogems and other rewards for their efforts. That said, using the Kurious Kamera in Genshin Impact can prove to be a bit confusing, and this guide is here to offer clarity on how it works.
To start with the most basic functionality of the Kurious Kamera, players can equip the item from within the Gadget inventory tab. When that has been done, an icon depicting the Kamera will appear near the bottom-right corner of the screen, and pressing the input below it will give fans access to a viewfinder. This viewfinder can then be pointed at any item that a player can pickup, such as a flower or fruit in Genshin Impact, in order to take a picture of it.
With that established, it is now possible to address the more-confusing aspect of the Kurious Kamera: how to use it to get photos of particular colors. To put things simply, the color of a picture that is made with the Kamera is entirely random and has nothing to do with the color of the object being photographed. This means that Genshin Impact players are essentially free to take pictures of any items that they encounter, as they have no control over the color of the photos that they receive.
To note, the random nature of the Kurious Kamera can create situations where a fans expends their 10 daily charges but does not receive a picture of every color. However, a player that find themselves in that spot need not miss out on claiming a Fortune Trove during this Genshin Impact event, as it is possible to swap photos with others. This photo swapping can be performed through the Event Overview menu, and it should allow fans to trade for any colors that they might be missing.
One final thing to say is that players cannot take multiple photos of a single item with the Kurious Kamera. While this is not likely to cause many problems, as there are a tremendous number of items scattered across Genshin Impact's map, it is worth mentioning none the less. Indeed, fans should now have all of the information that they need in order to find success with the Kurious Kamera.
