Genshin Impact update 2.2 has brought two banner re-runs which means that there will be no new five-star characters in the following weeks. However, miHoYo's official social media accounts have revealed two new characters we will see in update 2.3 - Arataki Itto and Gorou.
Both Gorou and Itto are expected to join the Genshin Impact character roster on the second banner cycle which will arrive around November 20. A recent leak on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed the Elemental Burst animations for the upcoming Geo Claymore user, Arataki Itto. It should be noted that the video features Itto with maxed-out Constellations.
Arataki Itto has been leaked multiple times over the last couple of months and players will finally have the opportunity to pull for him. When it comes to his Elemental Burst, it will provide a buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor's or Beidou's Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his Normal, Charged and Plunged attack to deal Geo damage.
During this state, Itto's Attack will get increased based on his Defense stat which means that players could find a use for all the strong Defense stat artifacts they have previously acquired. This Burst will also increase the speed of his Normal Attacks as well as provide 20% Physical and Elemental Resistance. The biggest downside of this Elemental Burst is that it will get canceled once Itto leaves the field meaning that players will not be able to quickly swap through their party in order to dish out even more damage.
His ascension attribute will be Critical Damage which could make him one of the stronger DPS characters in Genshin Impact. This means that he will gain Critical Damage for each level ascension. His DPS potential will increase exponentially with each level which is usually the case with characters that have this ascension attribute.
Many credible Genshin Impact leakers have confirmed that another Geo character, Albedo, will appear as the first banner character for update 2.3. Albedo is one of the strongest supports in Genshin Impact and he will have great synergy with Itto and Gorou. Adding another strong Geo user like Zhongli to these three characters could make a viable party. Having a party of characters that use the same vision is usually very bad but it actually does work with Geo thanks to the reaction Crystalize which can work independently from all the other elements.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
